Hi girls.........so my dress shopping continued today and I found something different than I've been trying on but that I really liked....it may be 'the one'.
The problem though? I found it at adrienne's in islip and they won't tell me the designer. I know this places has a lot of mixed reviews.......but I've been searching online all night and can't find it. Does anyone know who makes this? Has anyone else seen this dress? ANYTHING would help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It's a silk chiffon dress, completely plain but with the satin ribbon and brooch. There are three layers on the bottom. It has a medium length train.
Sorry the pics are bad....we weren't allowed to take pics and we took a few when she stepped out......I'm laughing in one because the girls were pretending to have a coughing fit to mask the sound of the shutter! My hair is gross too.......don't mind it

I went to Adriennes when I was shopping for my Senior Prom they wouldnt let my friend and I try on dresses b/c we were a size 12 and they told us we were too big for their samples!!!
I had a similar experience with a store in NJ- they wouldn't let me try on the dress b/c it was an 8 (and it was Pronovias, so more like a sz. 4 because they are from Barcelona). Then why have such a small size??????? I walked right out!

Oh Mimacat.......thank you for looking!!! That is the 2be one I found that is similar if you look really really closely that dress is lace. I couldn't tell it was lace till I went to brides.com and saw the description. I think it's that designer though because the brooch is exactly the same

I looked for an hour last night and couldn't find it -- job well done!!!!!!!!!!!!

It is chiffon, the tag said 1250 but I got quoted less because I said it was out of my price range. The top is completely plain. Everything is plain, there's just the sash and the layering on the bottom.
It's not the watter, jim hjelm or tara kelly posts on this thread. Close but not exactly. The closest one I found was a 2be dress but it still wasn't the same........
Do you girls like this more than some of the other one's I've tried on? I've been looking at a lot of pickups so it's different........ughhhhh I don't know!!!!!!!!!!!! Was anyone else this stressed about ordering a dress?
I hate that they can't tell you the designer.....and it's gotten really bad reviews.......I don't konw what to do!

Looks like a Jim Hjelm to me. Did you happen to see how much it costs? Maybe that can help us to narrow down the search.

It was 1250.......I checked out every designer website you girls mentioned, AND did a search on brides.com of 600+ chiffon dresses.
very similar......that one is taffeta.....the one I tried on is chiffon......also the one I tried on had the 3 layers on the bottom....

The one that mimcat found is very similar. It's the one I had found but when I went to brides.com to get more details, that dress with the pink ribbon is all lace and has pickups......but I'm assuming it's that company

I bought my dress from there, and it is 2be bridal. The problem with 2be bridal is that they don't show their dresses on their website, and there are only a few posted on the wedding dress sites under their name. From what I heard, they don't like to post pictures of their dresses, because they don't want other designers to 'copy' their designs....it is bssss if you ask me. I also saw that dress there, and it looks GORGEOUS on you.
I have had nothing but good experiences with them so far, but I am leary about the alteration process. I might just get the alterations done on my own. We will see how they react to that, but I know a really good tailor my family has been using for years, and she is totally affordable. So...maybe buy it from them, if you are sure it is the one, and take it to someone else for the alterations. My dress came in within 4 months...Good luck! But it is prob 2 be bridal unfortunately!!
