Who needs Etiquette? What are you doing that's 'against' the rules?

Original post by marc_rai

So I know there's a lot of dos and don'ts that we're supposed to follow, but is anyone saying. DAMN the rules, I'm doing this my way!
Okay, I'll go first:

Etiquette says: Send each adult over 18 a separate invitation.

Rai says: Damn that rule! If you're over 18 and live at home you're not getting a separate invite.

I have been given a lot of hell already for all of these:

1-We are seeing each other before the ceremony to take pictures and even going in the same limo to the ceremony since it is at the reception hall.
2-No bouquet or garter toss.
3-We are going to our cocktail hour so no receiving line.
4-No FG or RB. We only have one maid of honor and one best man.

We are also both staying at our apartment the night before the wedding and having a joint bachelor/bachelorette party. People don't seem to approve of this either. Oh well...it's my and FH's day, not theirs.

boy am i glad i am not the only one who breaks the rules!

1) Only 1 invite per house
2) No 'and guest' unless in serious relationship
3) I'm printing address envelopes on the computer (but in fancy font)

well its too late for me bc i handwrote my invites last night for e-party but what are you using to print addresses on the envelopes, just black ink? Im just wondering bc am i the only one who had trouble finding the ink cartridge i needed to do this...i also ordered invitations online and they return address on them was in gold so i wanted it to be gold too the outgoing addresses and didnt want to do black

Are you using an inkjet printer? If so, you shouldn't need another cartridge....

Hmmm... I just wanted to point out that I am in a serious relationship, 23 y/o, and (enter gasp here) I still live with parents. If I didn't recieve an invite I'd assume I wasn't invited.
