Who paid for

Your engagement party? We trying to do something small with immediate family and our 4-person bridal party. Without going into further details I'm just wondering if parents threw you the party or what?

My Parents hosted our engagement party at their house. FH and I paid for the caterer. We had about 50 people.

Both sets of parents split the party. FHs parents paid for the food. My parents paid for the cake, paper goods, apps, and drinks. FH and I paid for the invites and the favors.

We threw our own party!



This....and since its at the house FH feels like he can keep inviting people. Now its going to cost a fortune

Our parents split the bill I think...it was just a party of about 75 people in my parents backyard.

FH's parents paid for the hall rental. Both our familes made the food. My mom did the decorations, my aunt paid for the favors.

We paid for it but our parents gave us money for presents and that basically covered it.

My parents threw us a party but I chipped in by paying for invitations, centerpieces and favors. It gave me creative control that way.

we threw our engagement party for ourselves but then again we paid everylast dime of the wedding but we got to do everything our way
