With the bridal party I just went to, the mother paid for the place/food, and the bridal party decorated. It worked out well because her mom has money, and we're all you and we don't have that much money!

For my sister's bridal shower, her best friend, her fmil and I paid for it.

My mother and sister are planning my shower. The last two bridal parties I was in the mother did all the planning and paid for everything and I have also been in bridal parties where the bridal party paid. I guess it all depends on the bride and her family.

I was MOH at my sis wedding and I paid for her shower, our mom helped organize and the whole BP & her FMIL decorated.

I was MOH for my best friend 5 years ago and I planned, decorated, made invites (with help from some of the BP), and her mom paid for the restaurant. Then 1 year later did the same for the baby shower!!! (I am the Baby's Godmother)
Mainly the MOB and the MOH do the heavy lifting with the BP helping along the way.

my mom and sisters are planning mine... i am assuming that my mom is paying for everything... because im pretty sure that she did that for my sisters... but im not completely sure

i think traditionally its supposed to be your bridal party but lately i have been seeing the moms paying for it. my mom is paying for mine and my MOH is helping her with alot of the planning.

My mom and MOH paid for most of it and a couple of my BMs helped with the planning. FMIL also helped with planning and I think she offered to put some money towards it too.

my mom paid for everything and my sister (MOH) did all the planning, I had never heard of anyone else then the mom paying for a shower.

I think for me, it will be my mom and my bp. But I plan to chip in also.
For my friend's bridal shower, her sister (MOH) is planning everything but I keep telling her to let me know what she needs help with. I am more than happy to pay for things.

I truley feel that this is the responsibilty of the mom.....Not the BP at all. I actually never heard of the BM's ever paying for and planning a shower for the bride till I came on this site. It should be the moms/family that should be responsible....IMO.

It depends. Most of the showers I have been involved in planning it has been the mom or aunt who has footed the bill. In my case my parents are deceased so its falling on my bridal party. I actually feel bad about it and am trying to convince my FH to offer them money.
BUT no matter who pays everyone in your bridal party should be involved in planning and set-up.
