It's not crazy at all. I've heard plenty of couples do a 'first look', and I'm doing one myself. We plan to take pics with our wedding party at old west bury gardens before the ceremony. If its a good photo op for you and your FH, and you want to do it, why not. :) Its up to you and your preference, and if you're ok with being a little untraditional.

We are. We're doing a lot of things that are un-traditional, so it's not that big of a deal.

We are seeing each before also. We are getting married at the venue, so we will be taking most of the pictures before the ceremony that way we can enjoy the cocktail hour and reception with our guests.

do what you two want. everyone will have their opinion.i personally am not. theres something about seeing him for the first time as im walking toward him that i cannot wait for!!! i love seeing a bride for the first time when she comes down the aisle too.
but i know plenty of people who did pictures first and it was good for them.

I am doing a reveal too. It just works for us. We want to elevate all of our nerves before the church by being able to see one another. Also our church and reception time are maybe 45 minutes apart so we wanted to make sure we would have enough time totake all of our photos

Who's seeing their groom before the ceremony??? - Long Island Weddings
I am absolutely seeing him before the wedding. I have a 6:30 ceremony also and I want to utilize the time before the ceremony to get the majority of our pictures out of the way so that we can enjoy the cocktail hour and the reception without being bothered. When my sister got married two years ago she did the same thing and it was definitely worthwhile!

We're having a reveal too! We're getting married at the venue and have 1 1/2 hour cocktail hour but I don't want to miss it all or feel rushed. So a few hours before the ceremony we will take first look pics and bridal party pics, so after the ceremony we can just do family shots then hopefully get to go to cocktail hour! lol

We are seeing each other before the wedding. Definitely want to get all the formal pictures out of the way before the party starts so we don't miss seeing people or any of the festivities!

Who's seeing their groom before the ceremony??? - Long Island Weddings
We are doing a reveal and pictures before hand and then a very quick round after the ceremony. I think we are going to do the reveal at like 12:45ish and my ceremony isn't until 3pm. I also have to see him before the ceremony anyways for the katupah signing, so he's going to see me before regardless.
