WHO to use for ceremony music?? prefer violins..

Anyone using a string trio or soloist for their ceremony only?? My ceremony will probably only be a 1/2 hour at the most....can anyone suggest a place that i could call to find someone to do this? is it usually very expensive? ugh so many things i don't know!

I loved my ceremony/cocktail musicians! We used Encore Music (on this site). We had a flute, violin, cello trio. They were amazing to say the least! Very reasonably priced as well.

The ceremony may only be a 1/2 hour (as is ours) but you'll want them to do prelude as well (for about a 1/2 hour) as guests arrive.

We're using Empyreal Strings
We're having a string quartet for $800 for the hour. They're all conservatory trained musicains. (my fh is a music freak and he was very particular) They've gotten rave reviews on other boards, and their demo is impeccable. I was happy to find that they were so reasonable. A lot of the other groups I contacted were much more.

we are using sterling music ensemble. i am paying $600 for an hour for a string trio (flute, violin and cello).
they have also received good reviews here.

We are using Empyreal Strings... they are a bit pricey, but completely worth it.

yeah..Im excited about them. I think we are going to go with the flute trio..I think its a flute, violin and cello or something like that! I just called them and left a message that we want the contract, so hopefully they will call me tomorrow! Their demo is very impressive, the way they explain it as they go along..its the nicest demo Ive received...it put it all together for me! I owe alot of it to you Groovy peg because if we hadnt talked about it, I wouldnt have checked them out!! So THANKS!!!!
