Something someone wrote on Jess' money stress thread got me thinking.....

Did you want the wedding or did FH????

For me - Dave wanted it. I really wanted to go to Niagara Falls with a small group of people or Vegas....he wanted the wedding....i guess on some level i did too..

I was all about the big wedding and DH really wanted to elope. I won of course...but I really should have listened to him cause we would have saved a TON of money!!

I think it was both of us.. I wanted a pretty nice sized wedding and he wanted tons of people.. If it were up to him we would have 500 people....

Matt wanted to get married in Savannah, Ga, where we got engaged. I liked the idea but not the reality of it - a lot of my family would not be able to attend, and even those that could, I would hate the fact that they would be spending so much money on it. He finally agreed and we're at the fox hollow!

We both wanted the wedding and all of the trimmings!! Of course who gets all of the planning...me! (Not that I don't love it..it can just be stressful!)

FH! I wanted to go to Bermuda and get married on the beach. I am glad he convinced me otherwise because I really want all of our family and friends to be there.

neither one of us wanted a big NY wedding....we wanted a small destination wedding....until we started seriously talking about getting engaged/married....we started to realized that a NY wedding would be better for us b/c we wanted more than just a handful of people to attend and we didnt want to inconveinence our family and friends by doing a destination .....so we went from having an island wedding with 20 people to having a big NY wedding but we have made all our decisions together and i think we equally want the type of wedding that we are having....

you know, i was just about to type the SAME thing but since you've already done it....lol

We also originally wanted a destination wedding to Disney World but...like you said, there were just too many cons, but we've made all of our decisions together....

...please if FH wasn't on board this would be a very difficult process
