I find a lot of people are doing that these days. I don't want to find out either whenever we are prego.

Reason being I hear it takes the anxiousness and pressure off of actual labor and you get more excited about what it will be.

You also get lots of neutral gifts then more gifts after he/she is born...

Thoughts?

even though i'm not ttc right now, i've thought about this and i would want to know what the sex is. mainly b/c i don't think i can wait that long to find out plus i'd want the clothes to be specific to the gender. i find it easier personally to go shopping for a baby shower gift if i know what the gender is

Same here!! And I couldn't wait that long to find out! I am a planner so I would need to know!

I am finding that my friends choose to know, but tell others that they aren't finding out the sex so they do not get a ton of pink or blue things. Sneaky!

I dont want to know and god how i hate the color pink my stuff would probably all be baby blue anyways

DH and I have discussed this and we both want to find out what we will be having. We're both planners and want to have the nursery and everything all set up, I don't think I would be able to last 9 months with out knowing - I'd go crazy! LOL

My girlfriend wanted to know and they told her it was a girl....FFWD 9 months and tons of pinks....guess who came out? A BOY!!!

That just happedn to a couple we know. They were actually on cake boss since they did a gender reveal cake for them (girl). But fast forward a few months and they found out it was actually a boy. Luckily, it was before the actual birth, I guess it just showed up on a later ultrasound but they had already been preparing for a girl

Our friends had twins and for months they told them it was a boy and a girl, then all of a sudden they were like...I think it is two boys! And it was!

I think I would want to know, I'm too impatient to wait 9 months to find out but you never really know until you're in the situation. I might change my mind by then

I will be finding out! Not that it really matters in the decorating sense. I already have my nursery themes picked out in my head. Nautical if it's a boy and sports theme if it's a girl. So like I said it'll be fine if I find out or not, but I want to know!!! If it is a girl though I might not tell anyone else. I don't want a bunch of pink and purple!

Ill need the remaining months to come up with a boy name, and be excited again LOL

I'll love them no matter what, but we really want a little girl and since we plan on only having one.... Id wanna know early.

For the first one we wanted to know because i wanted a gender specific baby shower...you only get one big shower and i wanted it to lean towards whatever sex it was...it ended up being a He so i had lots of cool boy things

However any child after this we will not find out, i picked gender neutral stuff when i registered so it doesnt matter

i think id def want to know so that we can pick out names and get more gender specific things as well.. and i would totally register for the underdog colors like yellows and greens instead of pinks and blues lol

oh and im probably in the minority but when I do get preggo I would like to have my shower after baby is born. just my preference :o) been to both kinds and the girl who had it after was very happy with it. she got all the gifts she wanted.
