Who went to your first fitting?

I asked my mom and MOH to go with me. I told FH that I have my fitting this Thursday and he asked me to ask my FMIL to go with me. I want the first fitting to be with just the 3 of us. Is that wrong?

I don't think it's wrong at all. My MOH and her mom are coming with me to my first one. My DOC is coming to my second one and my FMIL is coming to my final one. I think you should ask her to one of them if you feel it's appropriate but there is no reason it needs to be the first one.

My mom & MOH!!!! My FSIL happened to be there also as she was picking up her gown

My Mom came with me to my first fitting. I would not have wanted my MIL there. My Mom, 2 sisters and Grandma came to my 2nd fitting but they also were getting alterations at that point.
I understand if you do not want your FMIL there, maybe you can try to explain it to your FH.

My FMIL (my Mom is deceased) and my MOH( my Sister). I am fortunate to have a great relationship with my In laws so it was intrusive at all. We had a great time.
