who's 'Blushing' - SURVEY TIME

Ok ladies - who is and who isn't doing a blusher - i need to decide. I'm envisioning me swatting at the thing like Samantha's sister in 16 candles though. I just want to spit and blow at it when its over my face.....

for those of you who ARE doing the blusher - are you just having the person who walks you down flip it over or are they doing the 'lift , kiss on cheek, replace' and then FH will flip it back permanently when he goes in for his smoocher

i did the blusher. At first i wasnt sure if i wanted to do this bc i thought i'd feel claustrophobic or something hahaha, i wasnt even sure if i wanted a veil period.

But i did it and felt fine.

My dad took off my blusher, and yes did the kiss on the cheek, then he had to shake dh's hand, and then take my hand and place it in dh's hand.

Dh didnt have to flip it back bc it was already flipped back all the way

I'm doing the blusher...more traditional i guess. It gives me the complete feel of a bride.

I did the same...it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.

I chose not to....I don't really like the tradition and wanted to see my FH clearly for our last moments as FH & FW. I am glad I didn't wear it.

However, my bro walked me down the aisle...if it was my dad, I may have felt differently. It's a personal choice.

My veil is a mantilla so Im not...I fell in love with the veil when I bought my dress and then realized I wouldnt have veil over my face but oh well lol

I did one, and liked it a lot. It was the one thing that I knew would make me feel like a bride.

I am not doing the blusher...as of now..I might change my mind that day but right now I am going to leave it as is. I am worried that it won't be put back right and than we have to have crowns put on for our ceremony so it is going to be messed with a few times.

I did the same thing. I always wanted the veil thought. And my dad pulled it back and it was outta my face for the rest of the ceremony.

we married at the RH--so i didn't think the blusher was necessary since we were breaking with tradition as it was marrying outside the church.

but i didn't want one cause i hate anything covering my face

I had a blusher...and btw it doesnt hide the tears!!! Everyone knew I was crying when I walked down the aisle.

My parents lifted it, kissed me, then replaced it.

I got married on site and didnt feel the need for a blusher...plus I am not crazy of them.

I felt I was spending a lot of $$ on hair and makeup and wanted ALL to see! LOL! I cried and really dont care either. I think its just a matter of preference.

i took the blusher off before i even got up to the altar, my dad and i had to stop about the 3rd row for him to take it off, so for most of the ceremony it was off and people got to see my hair and make up. It definitely is preference, i wasnt going to do it, but i wanted to do it bc of my father. My veil was pretty see through so thats why i didnt mind, if it wasnt i wouldve thought twice about it. I think ppl still got to see me well. Plus i did a receiving line at the end so they all saw me face to face without the veil over my face

i didn't wear one; i'm not crazy about them in general and plus I wore a mantilla veil so it didn't work with it. I almost went totally without a veil but got talked out of that.

I didn't, I wasn't really into the veil thing anyway and when I tried one on I thought it felt weird and I hated it--turns out my mom didn't wear one either, and DH also thinks it's weird! so it kind of worked out for me! I also liked that I could really see everything coming down the aisle

i was going to...i wanted my dad to flip it back etc. but the veil im borrowing (my cousins which i love) really doesnt give me the option and i dont want to add another one in addition to the one im wearing...so for now im not (unless i buy a diff veil).

Re: who's 'Blushing' - SURVEY TIME

its weird but i saw perfectly with the veil on, my view wasnt abstructed or cloudy.

When it comes down to it just do what you like. Just bc i did it doesnt mean i think now everybody should do it, what works for me doesnt work for others and vice versa. Try it on with the blusher over your face and see how you like it, if you like it then go for it, if not then dont even worry about it and do without it. Everyones wedding is different and everyones taste is different, as long as you do what makes you happy in the end thats all that matters.
