decorate your cake with fresh flowers( not rosepetals)?? My florist was asking me last night if I wanted it, and for some reason I had never thought of it before. - Just wondering whos doing it and what that average is.

We are doing it.. And our florist is charging us $100.00. They said they are charging that much b/c someone from the florist has to go out to Villa Lombardi's and decorate our cake with the flowers. I think it's a lot of $$... I asked my contact at Villa Lombardi's if someone there can decorate the cake for me b/c my florist would have only charged $25.00 for the flowers but I was told NO. --KELLY 10.1.04

I'm doing it ...but I'm only using roses and it's not that bad... around $70 including a bunch of small votives on the table and scattered petals.

We WERE going to do it, but changed our minds. It was going to cost us $75 (for hydrangea). Other flowers may be less.

Yes we made it right before they were closing!!! everything went great. I gave them the main idea for my cp and told them to come up with something. They did a few things that were really different ( ive never seen them before in a cp) the only part I didnt like was they put some kind of lilly in it for more color... but I dont like that flower so we took it out and replaced it with a cala.. still no good. so I found another flower I want to add and told him it wasnt full enough and to add another 1 1/2 dozen roses to it.

I am using a florist in Whitestone/bayside. They said that normally they charge more but to make my total price a nice even # the cake decorating came to $35

Some of the florists that we met with told us that they would throw it in for free - of course that FH are paying a lot of money for flowers - so that may play a factor.

our florist is throwing it in as part of our package, but that may be because we are spending so much money on everything else - but I do highly reccommend flowers by brian - everyone there is so nice and they do great work

I was going to use them... but they quoted me almost 1,000 more then my florist now... plus I have issues with the owner

It usually depends on how many flowers you want on. Burton's said they would charge $40 for a whole bunch of roses. If I just wanted a few, they would throw it in, same applies for petals.

I believe we're doing it and I don't believe it's too much money. i think it's included because he's throwing other rose pedals throughout the reception hall.

My florist asked me if I wanted it and I said no even without asking/considering cost. No matter what the price, just wasn't something I wanted to spend money on.
