who's getting extensions???

How long before your wedding are you getting your extensions???
I want to wait as long as possible so they r nice for the wedding but i also want to be able to get a hair trial and everything b4 the wedding w/ the extensions in

I was thinking the same - I might go twice b/c I want them to be in for my honeymoon, so I'm thinking of going soon-ish, doing hair trial, and seeing how long they stay in (b/c Lord knows how long after my wedding the honeymoon will be!)

Do you know where you're going to get them done?

I just had my hair trial this past weekend. He told me I am going to need extensions. I am not going to get the clip in ones because I have ALWAYS wanted extensions that are actually attached to my head if that makes sences. BUT I am getting them on WED or THURS before the wedding I am getting married on a friday. I asked my hairdresser and he said that will be fine

but I am getting a clip in custom made for me. I am getting it next week, so I can have trials with the extensions to get the whole look.

if you are talking about attached ones, you can get them one-two weeks before the wedding...they will start growing out a bit around the 3-4 week mark. also, the first few days the attached ones are in, they are kind of tight and can make your head sore. so i might do it a week before the wedding.

Ive done the sewn in ones before. One time they were great....the second time the hair did not hold a curl!!!!

I keep going back and forth on if I should do clip in or sewn in.

If I go with sewn in I would only do 'tracks' on the middle of my scalp or lower because when I had the sewn in ones in the past (full head) I couldnt do a high pony or half up half down hair because it looked like an alien head! My best friend with thicker hair did not have this problem!

I want my hair half up half down for my wedding so I may try the sewn in ones on the lower half of my scalp and see how it works ahead of time.

my moms salon does them in lindenhurst 'changing images' it costs $10 a strand and they said I might need like 80 strands....so this is gonna cost me like $800

When I went to Barrons to get my veil they had a wig stand. My mom went to look (she just got one due to chemo) and the woman was SO nice and I ended up with 4 clip in extensions. They're 100% human hair and can be washed, curled with an iron, etc. The clips are small and sturdy and can be used either at the crown to add fullness to your hair or at the base of your head to add length. I'm so excited because I know too many people who permanently damaged their hair with glue in extensions. They were $35 each but she took off a few bucks for cash and since I bought 4. Depending on your hair will dictate what you would need. Im going to use to for fullness and 2 for length. After the wedding she showed me cute ways to clump the 4 together for a side pony or just for changing your look. They work really nice if you're doing b pics

I got clip on extensions. you dont need permanent ones. GOnna ruin your hair. Clip ons are the best and easy to put on and remove, Check my photos. It looked GORGEOUS!
