Who's having a card box at the reception?

Original post by navita

is it rude to have a card box at the reception? I've been told that it looks bad to have one ...but I would very much like to have one. What do you guys think?

We did a photo card box...it's now sitting on our coffee table in our livingroom. We put our engagement pics in it. My friend may be borrowing it for her wedding too!

this is cute! whered u get this? i love it

My mom bought it for us as part of our engagement gift. I believe she found it at theperfectcardbox.com. We saw it at a bridal showcase and loved it! It's more expensive but I felt that at least it could be used after the wedding to display pictures! Good luck!

IMO, those money bags look far worse! I would be mortified to carry one of those around from table to table. At least with a card box, guests can leave their gifts when they feel appropriate.

This! I am having a cardbox that I bought from a former LIW bride. Love it!.

the bag isn't intended for going around and collecting cards. it's meant as something you store the cards in as you receive them but you keep it hidden and out of sight, instead of having a card box on display.

I actually knew what you meant in your earlier post and I wouldn't be mortified

To each his own, it's just my opinion. I've only seen the money bag used once and the bride carried it around. I rather not be handed cards either way.
