we're still trying to figure out if we're going to have one...i want our families to meet but we really can't afford to give one right now..we're still trying to figure out what to do

We did....actually a year ago tomorrow! Our families got to meet and we got a lot of great gifts. It was a lot of fun!

my FH's family gave us a surprise e-party (a nice backyard bbq) two weeks ago. it was a great way for our families and close friends to meet.

We had one... my parents threw it for us. It was really nice. And made some good money, that definitely helped for the wedding. But if my parents didn't offer, we wouldn't have had one.

we did!! my FMIL gave us a party. it was a good time for everyone to meet before the wedding. we had a great time!!

We are having ours next month! I am very excited! Nothing too big or extravagant, small italian restuarant. To celebrate our engagement!! Its fun...I feel like its the commencement to this years activities!

I say go for it!!!

We initially weren't going to have one but changed our minds. We had a small party with about 65 guests in a restaurant and everyone hade a great time. It was also the first time our immediate families met.
