I'm not inviting anyone from the office. However, my direct supervisor left my office for health reasons and moved to AZ with his wife to get chemo treatment, so we're planning on inviting them.
ETA: I know they aren't coming, though, but he's been a great support for me and we stay in contact through e-mail during his treatments.

We decided not to invite our bosses. His job is relatively new...(a year) and I didn't think it was necessary...we're not close...they are nice but socially we do not interact.

Re: Who's inviting the boss(s)?
I'm inviting my boss but I'm very close to her so even if she weren't my boss, she'd be inviting. I'm also sending an invite to the owner of the company as a courtesy although I really doubt she'll travel from Florida for the wedding.
ETA: As far as the other people in my office, I'm one of the managers so I felt it was only right to invite everyone so it didn't look like I was playing favorites.

I am going to invite my boss and his wife who also used to be my boss. It's not required though unless you are close to them. Even then it is really up to you.

I didn't invite any work people, and I'm so happy I made that decision. I left that company and I really don't talk to any of them anymore. I made sure that everyone knew it was close family and friends only, so noone was offended.

Re: Who's inviting the boss(s)?
I am! And my supervisor! And pretty much all the people in the office. We're all a tight knit office & I would love it if they could all come! (Well, maybe minus 1 or 2 people
But I didn't do it because I thought I HAD to, I did it becuase I wanted to. FH isn't inviting ANYONE from his workplace because he's self employed.

I work at a small firm. I'm inviting the owner, but after him, then I'm the boss. I'm inviting 8 out of 12 people. I'm close to 8 (one's even a BM!) and not close to the other 4. I would invite them all just to be nice, but we are already over the # of people. Maybe they'll be B listers

I'm not. ONly been at my job for a year and it is not an overly social environment.

Re: Who's inviting the boss(s)?
I am not, I think I am only gonna invite 3 people that I work with....I work in an office with 25 women and 7 men. So 3 is enough for me.

Currently work people are on the B list. Depending on how many people say NO from the A list will determine if any of them get invited. Family and Friends first.

Re: Who's inviting the boss(s)?
i am not inviting any of my bosses (i have 2 jobs). i will be leaving both jobs a month after the wedding. with one job i have worked there for 4 months, so too short of a time. the other job i have worked there for 7 years, but i am having a small wedding, so i am not inviting anyone from work. i thought about it for a while, but he hasnt really said nice things to me about me getting married (i.e. it wont last etc.). i dont want him there.

Re: Who's inviting the boss(s)?
FH and I work for the same company, and actually do the same job. FH invited his boss (who I actually worked for when we first started and we both love) and didn't invite my boss (who FH worked for in the beginning) (because I hate his guts and having him at my wedding would literally ruin my day).
I honestly think you shouldn't worry about 'etiquette' with this. If you like your boss, and you're close to him/her..Invite him! If not...screw him! It's your wedding, and you shouldn't feel obligated to invite someone you don't particularly care for...
ETA: We invited a TON of people from work that we are very friendly with and hang out with on a regular basis...The bosses were given the same consideration as every other guest; 'If I like you, you're invite...If I hate you...Tough $h!t!!!'
