Re: Who's paying?
We're very fortunate that my parents are paying for mostly the entire thing! We are just paying for the HM, and FH's parents are covering the RD.

FH is a poor student with nothing but loans... so i've been busting my a** to save $. his parents are retired and don't have that much 'extra', my mom doesn't make much $, and my father isn't participating in anything wedding related because of religious reasons...

Re: Who's paying?
We paid for it ourselves for the most part. My parents paid for my dress, flowers, and DJ. My husband's parents paid for the rehearsal dinner and our favors.

Re: Who's paying?
My parents paid about 2/3, and DH and I paid about 1/3. His parents did what they could.

Re: Who's paying?
When DH and I were planning our wedding, we assumed we were paying for everything, and budgeted ourselves accordingly. My mom had passed away before we got engaged and my dad didn't really seem too interested in the details of our plans, and he never said anything about paying for it, which was fine with DH and I. We wanted to be able to choose what we wanted for the wedding without feeling bad that it would be more expensive that my dad would feel comfortable with. But then my dad ended up giving us a large check as a wedding gift that almost covered the entire wedding anyway, so technically he did pay for it!

Re: Who's paying?
We split the cost three ways. Our parents each gave us $X and we matched that. I refused to go over that amount and budgeted everything accordingly.

Re: Who's paying?
dh and I paid for everything...we didnt ask for help..dh makes awesome money and I was still in school, so he paid for it. It was such an amazing feeling to know we did ' ALL OF THAT' ourselves....we even stood there on our wedding day...and was in awe with what we did!!!
When we opened gifts...we were in tears with how generous our parents were!!! So generous it paid for the wedding plus some. Then we proceeded to open more gifts and his aunts and uncles went way over there heads and gave us $$$$ of dollars. It was a blessing!!!
We had an awesome day and we arent still paying for it!!! Thats the key!

Re: Who's paying?
FH and I are paying for the bulk of it. My sisters are paying for the photographer/videographer and my parents are giving a lump sum. My mother also purchased my gown.
