My parents paid for the majority of our wedding... all of the main vendors (hall, photo/video, limo, florist, DJ, etc.) DH's parents paid for our wine favors and my MIL got us good deals on the dresses and tuxes b/c she works at a bridal salon. DH and I paid for some things ourselves too... invitations, STDs, programs, place cards, chair covers, martini bar... things like that.
eta: Almost forgot... DH's parents paid for the RD!!! Wow!

Well it looks like you had a beautiful wedding- congratulations!
But, just curious; did you or your parents get a little annoyed that they paid for mostly everything???

my parents paid for the wedding, DH's parents paid for the rehearsal dinner.
we paid for rings, honeymoon, gifts, and some small wedding expenses along the way. my parents were extremely generous.

My parents paid for the wedding. DH's parents paid for RD, day-after brunch, OOT bags/shuttle....
DH & I paid for rings, HM, BM/GM/Parent Gifts.....various other smaller things....
Our parents were extremely generous!

We are paying for about 95%. His parents are paying for the flowers and RD. (Meanwhile FMIL invited 100 people!!). Dont get me started!!! My mom left the hall deposit, and will give us $$ towards the photog, and is paying for my dress.

See, that's where my problem is... FH's family is HUGE!!! Don't get me wrong, I love them all and couldn't imagine not having them there... but, if I knew that my father (who is more than incredibly generous and hard working to do so) was going to have to pay for EVERYTHING I wouldv'e opt. for something alittle smaller and more personal.
FH and I are paying for DJ, Photo/Video, Limos,Flowers,invites and such, favors...
so far, I think my FIL's are doing RD, which consists of less than 30 people...
I think my grandma is going to do our day after brunch.
I'm just surprised I guess, my FIL's have been the sweetest most inviting and generous people I've ever known during our entire relationship... and now when we need it the most... the worst part is that my FH is actually embarrassed about it all.

My parents.....FH's parents threw us a beautiful engagment party, will do RD,limo's, and FMIL helped with shower.....basically my parents and FH'S ...were VERY fortunate

My parents gave us a large sum of money and the rest will be on us. His parents are paying for nothing. My parents are actually highly offended but there is nothing that can be done. My family is VERY small and his family is VERY large to add to everything.

We are paying for the MOST of it.... My Mom said that she would give us a 'set amount' which is not that much at all. Thank god for her B.F. though, b/c his motto is it's her youngest daughter getting married...HELP! HA...so now thanks to that, shes ALSO buying my dress...WHEW! haha
EVERYTHING else is FH and myself.... I have a feeling when it's closer to the date...we'll have to go to FHs parents and grab some cash from them too......
