Who's Paying???

Me & FH are paying for the entire thing! We are fortunate enough to not need anyone's help. FH & I are in our 30's & are in different positions thenmost people. Our parents will be giving us 'gifst' to start our new life together.

My parents are doing my shower
FH parents are doing the RD. By their request. lol

me and DH paid for most of it, my mom did help
she paid for my dress, our flowers and our photographer. ( which was a HUGE help)

we are paying for everything - it would be nice to have someone else pay for the wedding but truthfully i wouldnt want either of our parents to pay for it - i just wouldnt feel comfortable with anyone else getting the credit for how nice the wedding turned out - its a good feeling knowing that its OUR wedding and that everything we are having is because of OUR hard work and not someone else's - i also wouldnt want to feel obligated to hear opinions on how i should spend someone else's money and lastly, i wouldnt want to feel like i 'owed' anyone for it..... i know it would be really nice not having to pay for it, but i wouldnt feel comfortable, especially knowing that we are a little more comfortable financially than our parents are - it would be impossible for them to pay for the wedding but maybe if our families were wealthy i would feel different - but i doubt it....it just makes me feel good knowing that the wedding is mine and my FH's and that night i am sure its going to be amazing to see all of our hardwork come together KWIM?

i do have to say my FILS have been VERY generous when it comes to things that have to do with the wedding - for instance i know my FMIL is buying lots of gifts for my bridal shower, FILS are paying for the rehearsal dinner and they are also paying the postage for our wedding invitations - compared to the wedding expense its not a lot but its still very generous of them to help out where they can and we really appreicate it....my parents on the other hand cant really help out and that is fine b/c we havent expected any help so when we get it it is nice...

if you are worried that your parents are paying a lot and you don't like that they have to pay for your FILs guests why dont you and your FH pay for your FILs side of the family? that way its not burdening your parents - KWIM? at least that gives your parents a little break and they arent stuck paying for all of the wedding guests.....

My parents are paying for my dress, veil, and hair.
They are also giving us a small sum of $$

My sisters are paying for the photographer and videographer.

FIL's I think are paying for the rehearsal dinner.

FH and I are paying for everything else.

Me and FH are paying for it mostly.

My parents helped by paying for church, limo, and my dress with all the accesories (crinoline, shoes, viel, tiara, etc.). FMIL is hosting RD and buying/preparing all the food for it and has bought little things like wedding rice, little bag to hold wedding rice in, card box.

My parents have given us a substantial amount which will cover most major vendors and RH- I worked the budget around that number plus what we can contribute

we are paying for anything over which is likely limos, flowers, invites, stds, our rings :)

FH parents are paying for RD, plus are traveling to NY (his fam if from Pittsburgh)

me and FH are paying for ours. No help from anybody - which is nice actually, cause that means that we don't 'owe' anybody anything. lol.
