I just thought it would be interesting to see who is paying for the wedding. Only my mom is helping us with the costs and THank God for her, because she is taking a huge weight off of my shoulders! Now if only the other 3 parents would contribute...then I really would have no problems!!

dh & i paid for ours pretty much entirely.... mil never offered a penny(not saying she had to at all, but she actually gave us a hard time when we asked if she could 'maybe pay HALF of our stamps for the invites 'cause we were coming up short'!! My mom was a saint - she doesn't have a penny yet she bought lots of little things that added up, and in the end she helped us with the last chunk that we had to pay to the RH - however we've been paying her back for that. she did pay for all of my day of attire(dress shoes, hair, makeup etc)..she wanted too - that was part of her gift for me. my father is a deadbeat so no help there...mil DID host the rehearsal..but gave us a hard time about that too(even though she had it in a free place & had friends cook)...

Well actually my mother and myself. His family is from upstate and think its 1950. Plus he doesn't make much $ so its on my mom and I. Which is fine b/c then I get the last say when it comes to decisions. His family doesn't. I let him think he does but since I am paying I push for my way.

My dad is giving us a decent chunk, FH and I are taking care of the rest, and FH's parents are most likely contributing as well.

FH and I are pretty much paying for an entire very big wedding and I just feel lucky that we are able to afford our dream wedding. (well, something close to it)
My parents have offered to give us some money but I told them not to worry about it. They will probably end up giving it to us anyhow as a gift. FH and I work hard and although we will have to now wait to buy real estate we are able to pay for the wedding without too much financial stress. It definetely helps that we are in our late 20s and have worked for years.

My parents & FH parents are paying for the family members. We are paying for our friends, and everything else.
But we are thankful for the help!

My parents have said that they will pay for church. limos, and my dress. I told them not to worry about it if they can't.

We are. My mother gave me us a present when I graduated college some cash to buy a car, but I never bought it, and I am using that for the wedding (so tecnically she put part of the $$).
Our parents are pretty broke, but they help out (morally, and driving me around to buy stuff).
We are paying for it, while also saving for a downpayment!!!
