I just thought it would be interesting to see who is paying for the wedding. Only my mom is helping us with the costs and THank God for her, because she is taking a huge weight off of my shoulders! Now if only the other 3 parents would contribute...then I really would have no problems!!

Neither side has offered to help in any way. I know that they are not required to even offer but that really hurts. My dad has a good deal of money so I know that with him, it's not about money.

Both of our parents are divorced, so I would love it if all 4 parents contributed something!!! At this point its only my mom, and I am grateful for the help that she is giving us. Although I would really like it if the other 3 parents contributed as well!

My dad is. I will be thanking him for the rest of my like. FH parents are giving us a Eparty and his mom said that she will take care of my shower. We are both very very very lucky.

My mom is taking care of the reception/ my dress and were doing all of the extras.... Wish his parents would contribute....Maybe at least cover the rehersal dinner or the church.

FH and I are paying for the majority of it. My mom is nice enough to pay for little things here and there.

Originally it was just going to be us. Then my parents offered to give 10k towards the RH, but then they offered to pay the RH in full. Everything else was up to us......

my parents are paying for the hall. FH parents have not offered anything yet, so I dont think they are. We are paying for everything else on our own

Fh and I are paying for alot of it and both our parents have contributed.
The RH, fh and i paid about a little more than half of it so far and our parents gave us some towards our payments and that definitely helped it was close to half of the 50% due before the wedding. The finaly payment which is 50% of the bill we will pay
Vendors-fh and i paid, but after we booked photographer and with every intention to pay it, FIL's said they would like to pay it so we're grateful for that, well pay for the albums though without telling them lol dont know if they also want to but just paying for the photographer is more than enough and were very thankful about that. But every other vendor both Fh and I paid for.
HM-fh and i
Dress-i went that day with intentions of paying for it myself and then when it came time to putting down the 60% deposit my dad put in alot of it which he didnt tell me ahead of time he would do so i am very thankful for that, i also put towards the deposit too since i added more things. Now on tuesday i pay the other 40% and my parents offered to give me a little more than half of that.
Then all the other things such as invitations, favors, DOJ, wedding bands, menus, programs, RB pillow, garter, cake knife serving set, cardbox and the tons of small things fh and i are both paying for it.
Fh and i started off with saying we'll pay for everything and if our parents want to contribute we are fine with anything they want to help out with but told them we dont expect it. So if they want to just help with 1 thing that would be fine. They definitely have helped and we are more than thankful for that. I know alot of my ideas can be a bit much so thats why i want to pay for these things myself, its my decision and dont need to hear about what i am doing so i'd rather do it and take care of it and then tell people after.
