I am just curious if I am the only one with the FH paying for our own wedding.

My parents bought my dress and I think are throwing the RD (FH parents are deceased)

Both. My parents are helping alot, but there is a cap- we pay anything on top of that which will still be considerable. I am trying to budget as much as possible, but will spend money where needed-photo/video. FH parents will likely do the RD, but its not going to be anything elaborate-we prefer simple. his parents are from OOT- Pittsburgh.

We are paying for 90% of it. FMIL payed for my traditional indian wedding oufit, $3000 and bought me the Jewerly for the outfit $500, and is paying for my FH traditional outfit, $500. For the reception we are paying for everything, hall, video, photo, limo, flowers, wedding dress, invitation. OY! Written out makes it alot harder to look at!

100% us - even my dress FH got for me.....ummmm FILS are doing the RD though and may help us with the postage on invites (maybe 200bucks?), but otherwise its all us soup to nuts....

my dad is paying for the reception all and fh's parents are paying for the limos and rehearsal dinner...we are doing everything else. we didn't have an engagement party b/c we couldn't afford one...and most likely will not be taking a honeymoon

My parents and FH's parents are each kicking in the same amt each (10k). For the rest (what is coming to another 35-40k) we are on our own.

DH and I paid for the wedding ourselves.
My parents paid for the engagement party, bought my dress and accessories, paid for the bridal shower, paid for my hair and makeup, and paid for the church.
DH's mom paid for the rehearsal dinner.

We are, that is why I am skimping on a lot of things! I know it was expensive but man I didn't realize it was this expensive! And now I have to buy a new car 1 month before my wedding and HM
