My mom is going to pay for the bulk of it, I think the girls will pay for invites and take care of the favors. But man, I really want to be involved. Definitely not a surprise, I live in Virginia so my mom will need to make sure I definitely come up that weekend, etc.
I think FMIL will throw me a local one too. that should be interesting. Stay tuned......

I was just talking to my mom about this - it will be her and my Man of Honor.
I'm on the fence about it being a surprise - with my luck I would show up with no makeup on, my hair tied up in a pony tail wearing a pair of grungy sweatpants.

my MOH and BMs are working together to plan the shower. When my other friends have been married, we would plan the entire shower and just have them show up at the designated time and place. We've done some theme showers and it has been hysterical

My mom is planning mine... it was supposed to be a suprise, but my mom is TERRIBLE at keeping secrets. She's been telling me things about it all along b/c she can't make decisions on some things, then a few days ago, she accidentally told me where it is. She felt bad, but I knew I would find out eventually from her!

Not involved. Like the majority above, my mom and sis are planning it. Sis is MOH. she sd either her house or my mom's. I don't want it at the sis cause she lives too far for everyone to drive. A lot live around me-mid Suffolk. She lives near the city line. I suggested Mom's. don't know more than that. It is a second wedding for me, first for FH. so I feel funny having another one. Although it has been 15 years since my first wedding. I can be really oblivious to things, as far as surprises go. I take awhile to catch on. FH decided to throw me a surprise bday party at FSIL last month and told me it was a party for bro's bday. Even when I got there, it took me awhile to realize that it was for me. I looked around baffled.

since i'm an '09 bride, no official arrangements have been made. my mom really wants to be involved, and i think she might coordinate w/ my MOH. i'd like there to be an element of surprise for me, so i'm staying out of it. i think i'd just kinda like to know WHEN it's happening.

My mom, MOH and some of the bridesmaid and my mother in law,, with a lil help from some friends..I dont think it will be a surprise,, cuz I work wkends,, so I need to know the day so I can get the day off..lol

I think my BMs are and the moms are soemhow involed too. All I know is my mom asked me for the 'lady' list from the wedding. And my MOH said something about trying to plan my parties.
