Why am I still geting charged so much for flowers???
Hi Gals,
So I met with 2 reputable florists (referred to me by my RH and a number of you here) as well as 1 local florist by my house. They are all quoting me around the same price and you all told me the first time around that was too much $$$. I have no centerpieces just personals:
I'm looking at simple flowers- white roses, cream roses, blue delphiniums. I don't think these flowers are $$$, but why am i still getting quoted $925- $999?? Does this seem right? is it the flowers i'm choosing that are expensive??? Please help. Thanks.

To me, that still seems a little high...for what you're getting. The ONLY thing I can think of is that you're in the summer months...and maybe being charged more because of it?
I don't know where you are local to in terms of county, but my second least expensive quote after Burton's was Hitherbrook Nursery in St. James...if you're suffolk, or even eastern nassau based, worth a trip. Or try a local nursery...their prices are definitely lower than typical wedding florists.

I havn't met with Burtons yet and strangely enough they are the ones doing my dress!!! I don't know why i'm so worried about my flowers. I really want my flower shop to be local to my house and burton's is far away. I'm so worried the flowers are going to show up wrong or damaged. So if they need to change or fix something they can run right back to the shop. I have another appt this weekend, but maybe i'll check them out too.

Bridal bo-k are around $200 Bm bo-k's are around$100 bout's are about $20 Corsages could be around$25
