Just like the private schools are closed the same thing should have gone for the city schools. I know the private schools are not city owned but still....
Bloomberg is a heartless *******! DH is a teacher and he had to leave at 5:30 am while it was still snowing heavily and drive to school.... I feel bad for all teachers and the students that had to go to school today....thanks mayor... you may be smart when it comes to business but when it comes to common sense, you are a moron!

people are constantly attacking alot of aspects of my life. I tune em out and live my life, and am never ashamed

I teach in L.I. My FH is a fireman in Bushwick Brooklyn. We both went to work today. Him at 4:30 am and me at 7:30 am. I cant say I wasnt dissapointed we didnt get a snow day (because I would have loved a day off to get some grad work done) but I understood why they kept them open. The streets were COMPLETELY clear when I went to school.
I have to say that sometimes I do disagree when we dont have a snow day. Some days its blizzard like and they dont call it. Sometimes I dont think its too bad and they do. Im just happy when they do call it LOL In my immediate family 4 of us are teachers and I am so jealous when they get snow days and I dont LOL

I do agree there are many jobs that can be difficult at times for different reasons. I do feel though that sometimes some people don't think teaching is as difficult as it actually is. I am sorry there was a big debate over this, lets give each other big and get back to .
Speaking of humor, what is the story about the bunny with the pancake on its head?
I am going to print out the bunny and pin it to my shirt when I go to work tomorrow. I bet everyone will steer clear of me, which is exactly what I want.
