Why are people SOOOO obnoxious!

This stupid guy at my school who always talks to me like he is my best friend just came over to me to ask me how my friend was doing. This friend was just dismissed from my law school about 4 weeks ago in her last semester of law school. He had the nerve to say to me well you know she really never belonged here in the first place. Never mind the fact that this guy has been stuggling since day one - while this girl (had a bad year b/c of family problems) had better grades than him for the first 1 1/2 of law school.

What possesses people to say such stupid things. (Mind you this guy first year - in discussing forum selection clauses -told the teacher in class that he felt that if you were not rich enough to go to florida from harlem to sue the company you had NO business taking ANY vacations - but might want to instead get another job)

Law school can be completely brutal! Some of the people I went to school with here horrid - stuck-up and crazy competetive! Some failed the bar - what goes around comes around! Blow him off!

I know I should but it was a sore subject - because the friend who was dismissed was dismissed in extremely unfair way. (Rule - if you have never been on probabtion and you have a 1.9-1.99 you can petition to stay under probabtion - well she has 3 incomplete papers she was finishing - she had 1.979 and 3 profs telling the school that they will give her B or better which will put her over the 2.0 you need.) They kept people iwth 1.91 with no incompletes. Anyway sorry for the vent.

This is just one of the people I go to school with who see nothing wrong with screaming at professors in class - telling them HOW DARE you mark me wrong on something. Etc. I just wonder how people can think that it can be appropriate in any situation to say and do many of the things that I see on a daily basis here. They would be disbarred or held in contempt by the judge in seconds.

Yes, i admit it, i am a lawyer!
Sometimes I love it, others completely hate it and wonder why I ever went (thank god those days are at a minimum)!

As for your friend, is there no appeal procedure, academic probation or summer program she can attend to make up the GPA? Sounds unfair to me!
