It is inconsiderate, right? I was so upset, I know it is petty stuff, but it really bothered me.

As it should! The whole ordeal put you to so much trouble (both with time and money!) Did they even say thank you for that?

They did say thank you- but it didn't help. What did help was smashing those cookies into little pieces on the way home!

People are very rude

that is extremely rude. some people just dont know better

first off.. when my sister had her shower. Our mother and her MIL planned the shower together, each invited people and split the costs. Thats not right to dump responsibilities on someone else at the last minute.
