why are you girls erasing vendors??

hi girls... ive noticed many of you erasing the vendoring you booked with and putting 'a wonderful dj' or 'a great photographer'... is there a reason?? - did something bad happen i dont know about??

are you kidding me? thats the most insane thing i've ever heard of! wow. the things people do. I would hope any vendor would not cancel after a deposit had been made with just a phone call and also that anyone on these boards wouldnt' be that much of a jerk.

I heard that this was because some crazy people/brides have called vendors/halls pretending to be you and cancelling so that they can schedule the day. I personlly dont think that any vendor/hall would just cancel via telephone and would need you to go and see them face to face because of contracts and all that. This is what I heard

Remeber that this is a public forum and it's on the internet. Not everyone on here is a bride (some people, believe it or not are vendors! ) and not everyone is planning. So anything can happen with the info you give...a vendor being upset over possibly 'bad' posts, a psycho stalker, a mean person trying to 'ruin' things, even people you know that are being nosey. I only listed my vendors AFTER my wedding...didn't want anything crazy happening that day...I had enough drama.

Wow. That's absolutely insane. That never crossed my mind before my wedding.
I'm so sorry that that happened!!!!!

I guess we do sometimes forget that this is public...

It's like you can't even be excited about your own wedding.
Some people are nutz!!!!

It's the crazy ones that make it bad for everyone else.

IF that is the truth, that is the most disgusting, dishonest thing I have ever heard. In my opinion, anyone who is doing this is just asking for a bad marrage-- karma can be a real b!tch!

Are you serious???
I will definitely not be posting info then and whenever I book a vendor I will make sure to tell them unless I physically go down to them to cancel don't they dare cancel.

That is why I did it. I had my vendors listed, then I had a ridiculous argument with someone on here and I was no longer comfortable. I feel really bad when I do talk to people here, because they can't just look up my info in my profile. From time to time, I will post telling people about my vendors, but I figure that it's not as easily accessible that way. So, only the people who read a lot probably know all my info by now. And, there are some people that I FM with. It's just what makes me comfortable--sad as it is!!
