why are you girls erasing vendors??

how can people cancel on others? what do they say, 'my name is carol82 and i want to cancel you for my wedding'. that's ridiculous--no one knows my full name, address or phone number, so how could they cancel my vendors? i don't buy it.

i do, however, realize that there are many weirdos on the internet. it seems no where is safe anymore...

I've heard some crazy stuff about posting info on this website. It's so sad! What kind of people behave this way?

I remember this coming up awhile ago, and I still feel that this is ridicuous. I don't see how any reputable vendor would cancel your date without you coming in in person to sign. And also no one posts last names- so this vengeful, crazy person is going to call up one of your vendors pretending to be you without a last name even and tell them to cancel, and that vendor is going to go along with it? I honestly don't think that can happen.
Who we are using as our wedding vendors, to me, is not personal information. I am not giving my ss#, my bank account#, or even my last name!!
I have found it very useful to look up people's vendors sometimes, and truthfully, am disappointed when there's nothing listed.

Everyone has the right to do what they feel comfortable with. But, I don't feel the need to remove my information.

Just shows you how far people are willing to go to get what they want!

It is so sad I used to have everything posted...I get so nervous! You work so hard to make your wedding day so special & to have someone ruin it is heart-breaking. I will post all my vendors again after my wedding once I write up a review.

WHAAT! OMG, are you f'n kidding?????? I had no idea girls were that psycho enough to do something so selfish and rude!

Although, I would hope the vendor would have enough sense to contact via email or phone to confirm it.

I would hope a vendor wouldn't cancel with Just a name and wedding date, but you can never be too careful.

Yes...

Remeber that this is a public forum and it's on the internet. Not everyone on here is a bride (some people, believe it or not are vendors! ) and not everyone is planning. So anything can happen with the info you give...a vendor being upset over possibly 'bad' posts, a psycho stalker, a mean person trying to 'ruin' things, even people you know that are being nosey. I only listed my vendors AFTER my wedding...didn't want anything crazy happening that day...I had enough drama.

your right...it would be stupid of a vendor to not confirm all the information...but I have to admit that I have called a few of my vendors regarding final details and they usually ask me for the wedding date, my name, groom's name....to locate the contract....it isn't until we get further into the details that they start confirming info that would be unavailable to people on the internet....so it doesn't hurt to be safe....rather than sorry. Its truelly sad that someone would go to such lengths to ruin a couples special day....but people can be sick and cruel.

THIS ACTUALLY HAPPENED TO ME!
I was just telling this story at the GTG last night, I had told Rick Mango Orchrestras that I was interested and they had my date set aside for me. A few months went by and I had booked someone else and totally forgot about it until the woman from Rick Mango called me up b/c they recieved a letter in the mail canceling my wedding! ***?
So at this point I was tempted to book them out of the principle that someone would do something so crazy!!!

but the point being, a reputable vendor will call you before they did anything like that or have you come in personally. PSYCHOS!
