why did you choose you RH......................

i know this might of been done but just curious!!

We chose our RH b/c we wanted to be by the water, you cant beat the view either! plus everything at VYC is gorgeous!!! The staff is great especially our BM there- shes amazing!!! also the price was very reasonable for a sat eve in june!!!

Fox Hollow felt very cozy and perfect for the winter with all the deep colors and fireplaces and what not.

Plus the menu is amazing!!

It had a lot of character. It's very old fashioned. The price was great and included centerpieces. I also loved the chapel. Also, we wanted a kind of small wedding and the ballroom only holds 125, so it forces us to keep the guest list down.

I saw a commercial for my palce 2 yrs ago, before I was engaged, it always stayed in my mind and when we got engaged it was the first place I wanted to see. We did and we fell in love. We have been to about 20 weddings in the past 3 years and we wanted some place different. I feel like evryone I know gets married at the same 5 or so places, so no one coming to my wedding has ever even been to Floral Terrace, its far in Nassau and we are all from out east, so it should be very different, which is what I wanted.

And I am the only bride, we got the whole place and the biggest bridal suite on long island

first, i didn't want low ceilings, i wanted ceilings that were either high or different or something. I had always liked JT, so it was one of the places we went to look at and FH loved it and didn't want to look any further. The food is great, i like that they have a huge CH room, i love the ceilings, the service. The lobby was also a concern for me, i loved their lobby area.

I believe it was done but it's always fun to write it again!
I chose Tall Grass CC because I love the open feeling it has with the high celings and I love the view of the grounds, tons of windows. I also love the price! And it just seems to suit me and fh. It's low key and simple with neutral colors.

i knew I wanted one in LI.. when i came on this site i saw the banner for CLM, looked at the site and fell in love with it.. i love that its right on the water and the price was sooo reasonable!

because Land's End is soooo nice!! Great atmosphere and the grounds are beautiful and the WHOLE place is ours for the day. It feels like your in someones house and not a RH.

We went to Eastwind, Windows on the Lake, Larkefield Manor, The Hyatt Windwatch, Giorgio's and Magestic Gardens.

Giorgio's was the second place we visited. Giorge Jr. was sooo friendly and made us feel like family. His father is also very entertaining. When we went to visit the other places, for some reason, we always compared them to Giorgio's. The view is spectacular and the menu is to die for. We are serving top shelf (Kettle One/Grey Goose) and he is also allowing us to substitute out the hosue scotch for another scotch that DF likes at no additional charge. You should check it out if you have not booked your RH yet......

It had the two things I wanted the most... lots of windows and a beautiful view of the water... after we sat down with Lou (@ CLM) and found out about all of the other stuff, it was a done deal.

We were torn. Fh loved north ritz club but I loved westbury manor so we settled on milleridge We liked it because it has a victorian look which I really love and i can't wait to take some wedding pictures in the little village they have Also, they quoted us the cheapest price out of any RH we went to and since we are paying for the wedding ourselves, milleridge was perfect for us.

I choose my RH because of the FOOD, and the amount of food that they give you. They have amazing service. I love their ballroom, its perfectly squared and the dance floor is huge. I love that I can have my CH and VH outdoors in their gardens, with rivers and fountains. I love that it is a mansion and it holds so much history. I like that 'different' setting and cozy, homey feeling that it has. # 1 reason, I am OBSESSED with birds, parrots. So seeing peacocks and parrots roaming around and chirpping in the trees just sold me, lololol.

it was the second place we visited - and i was so depressed after the first place where i was basically informed that no one would ever want to do our wedding.

so when we walked in to JT I had low expectations. But then when we walked into that first area i almost started crying - as FH and I were waiting for someone we walked around and LOVED the fireplaces and all the decor.

So, I basically set myself up for rejection - I was positive when I told him we were having 100 people he would basically tell us to stop wasting his time. . . .but he said 'oh okay great' and gave us a price.

but THEN we saw the skylight room and when he told us the minimum was 150 - we knew we would stand on street corners and invite people if we had to! we loved the whole atmosphere and everyone we had dealt with is so nice! i get butterflies in my stomach every time i pass there i love it!

ETA: FH wanted it simply bc it had live fish swimming around inside

My hall isn't in Long Island so most people probably never heard of it, but I picked it because I fell in love with it!
As soon as I walked in, I knew it was the one for me!! I love that the cocktail room is really modern and the ballroom is sort of old style/parisian, so I felt I got the best of both worlds. It was the only place I went to where I looked at the bride and groom tables and I could actually picture myself sitting there.
It was also double what we originally planned on spending but I think all the sacrifices I will have to make over the next year will be worth it!!!

My cousin got married at Fox Hollow 10 years ago and I fell in love with it then! It was our last stop after seeing 3 other places and after meeting with David and then seeing the Winter Garden Pavillion room in person (yes with the waterfall running) we just knew it was it!

We went to seven places before Marina Del Rey and I was about to give up. Either I loved it and he didn't or vice versa. When we got the tour of MDR it just seemed like everything we wanted....on the water, beautiful, etc.....
There was only one Sat. left in Sept or Oct. and there was no hold...you had to put the down payment down right then. We said we would think about it and walked out. We looked at each other...and he was waiting for me to say something b/c he loved it so much....I said....if I had the cash on me I would put it down right now.!!! he whipped it out of his pocket and we basically ran back in...I swear we both had tears in our eyes!

We wanted something different. I loved the color changing ceilings, the huge ballroom, and the glass enclosed Atrium for cocktail hour. the price was good for a june-saturday-pm wedding and we got more food for the price than any other place we looked at (menu is obscene). It just felt right....
