We chose our RH b/c we wanted to be by the water, you cant beat the view either! plus everything at VYC is gorgeous!!! The staff is great especially our BM there- shes amazing!!! also the price was very reasonable for a sat eve in june!!!

I just wanted something where I was the only bride and I heard BVYC had good food...and its on the water...I didnt check out too many places...I went I saw I liked...ahaha

It really was no the RH of my dreams, but it was just very practical because of guests coming in from different places and my family know people there and we got a good price.

It is really funny. I didn't think I was going to like it at all. It's not on the water. I wanted something on the water so bad. As soon as I went to it though I fell in love. I think I went not expecting much but just checking it out and I absolutely loved it. The food was incredible also.

Fox Hollow wasn't even on my list, but my FH liked it a lot. I wanted something by the water, with skylights and lots of windows. However, when I walked in to Fox Hollow I just had a good feeling about it. It's very warm and welcoming, everyone was SOOO night and the prices are amazing for the ridiculously huge menu. it also has amazing gardens for pictures

being that i dont live in NY anymore..were getting married there because i grew up there..and i lived in lindenhurst my whole life ( until i was 15) so why not go back to lindy to do it...hence CLM
and a little note on top of that
when i was in kindergarden we went to CLM for a christmas party with school and when i got home i told my mom i wanted to get married there..and now i am!!!!!!!!

That is exactly what happened with me and the Chateau Briand. I wanted the water, lots of windows etc..

too funny. yeah everything I pictured went write out the window haha Chateau Briand is probably similiar to Fox Hollow as far as menu and service since its the same company.

I absolutely wanted something on the water, wanted to be the only bride, wanted something close to hotels for our OOT guests. Harbor Club was my fourth stop. I think poor FH had bruises, I kept poking him to let him know that we had found our RH!

wood floors, wood beamed high ceilings, an outdoor deck, water views, and NOOOO marble!
I was sold! It reminds me of a big house rather than a RH.

I had gone to CLM when it was open to the public many years ago its been around for most of my life and I had always thought it was the most wonderful place.
When I got engaged we looked around elsewhere and no one would work with our mins or our budget. Many people wouldn't move for us but CLM did. We went to a tasting before even talking seriously and we loved the food and the complete package of the place. I grew up in Lindy and love my town and nothing honors me more then getting married in Lindenhurst and getting married at CLM because honestly nothing but great service, food, price and ambiance the complete package.

I wanted a cozy elegant place for a fall wedding. The room we are in is just beautiful with a fireplace, cathedral ceilings, skylights, and even a waterfall!

I didn't even want to go to JT...I thought that too many people have it there and I wanted something different...but when I walked in I found out why so many people book there...plus we met with Mike Kloss---and for those of you who know who he is know what I mean---he was great and we got a wonderful deal

Ever since my brother got married there 8 years ago, I knew I wanted to have my wedding at Russo's. When my time came, FH and I looked at other places and we looked at Russo's last. We both fell in love with it. Everything about it is perfect for us.

we wanted a romantic mansion style wedding and just looooved the place and the manager was so amazing and offered us the best price and said okay to every request/change we wanted to make to the menu...that was a biggie for us.

It seems weird, but I had almost an 'out of body experience' when we went there for the first time.....
I was walking on the dance floor towards the windows (to see the lake view) and suddenly in my head we were at our wedding, and I heard my grandmother's voice telling my mom how nice the sunset was over the lake...
it was pretty freaky, but I knew I had to book it

I LOVED Milleridge. I was a little worried as some things were 'run down' but once the place is done up it looked fabulous. And I REALLY wanted something different - like an old mansion on the water - but they were either SUPER expensive or didn't hold enough.
Not sure how many guests you're planning but I know they say they can hold something like 300. Not true! =) Or maybe they can, but it would be crowded. We had about 200 and that seemed perfect. I'd say we could get in another 20-40 but after that it would have gotten tigheter. But, I'm sure it can be worked out if you have more than that.

II picked the east wing estate bc I loved the garden feel of it.
we really wanted to get married outside but wanted a nice indoor option just in case :)

Fox Hollow felt very cozy and perfect for the winter with all the deep colors and fireplaces and what not.
Plus the menu is amazing!!
same goes for me!! i loved it, the fireplaces, the winter garden pavillion and the menu!! i love that there are 7 entrees for the guests to choose from rather than the standard 3

I felt the SAME way about CB.. I thought I was going to hate it.. but when I got there.. they had EVERYTHING I wanted.. the food was great.. our BM was amazing.. I wanted to book it on the spot..
