Why did you pick your date??

Out of curiosity what was everyone's reasoning behind the dates they picked? Everyone asks me that and there were a number of reasons: work obligations dictated time of month, $$ and temperature dictated time of year.

I was just wondering how everyone else decided...

I've always wanted to get married in the summer and we are both teachers,and it is our favorite season!
We also had to plan our wedding around the weddings of my BF and FH's cousin

It was a combination of our dating anniversary
2/8...our wedding date is 2/28.

It was cheaper in Feb.

Our jobs are less busy in the winter.

I have a crazy work schedule and can only take any considerable amout of time off after the at the end of sept beginning of oct or fedruary/march. We orginally said march, but my sister got married this summer and since my parents offered to pay for both our receptions, they asked if we could push it back a bit. and we did happily.

Our anniversary is August 11th-and even b4 we got engaged I swore we would get married on our anniversary-when we finally got engaged, it was no question when we would...
Even on our first day engaged, his mom n my mom were like no date right? and im like ITS AUGUST 11th
When we get married it will be our 8th year anniversary

We chose August, because we both love the summer and it will not conflict with our school schedules. Also it would be easier for our out of town guests and my little cousins won't have school!!!

We knew we wanted to be married early spring before the summer. We figured on April 22 and it happened to be his grandparents anniversary. Well we visited 9 reception halls before finding SC and they were the ONLY ones with April 22 TAKEN!!! They had everything around it booked except May 6th or March 25th. We both wanted sooner than later so March 25th it was!

Wanted a summer wedding, preferrably June and we were able to get church/place for June 24 so we did it.

Wanted to be done with school and our church doesn't marry the weekend after ours.

I love the weather in September, and esp in the beginning when its still has that summer feel w/out the humidity.

FH is in law school and we didn't want to wait until 2007. January 06 doesn't interfere with school or work for us.

i wanted the summer since i'm a teacher and like the hot weather. his birthday is at the end of july so we didn't want that. and i didn't want july 4th weekend, so we grabbed up the 8th of july! it's perfect for us!

8/6/06 is our 6th year dating anniversary

we picked friday in feb. because its a cheaper time of month and its a cheaper day. we did the 9th because originally we were going for the week of valentine's day but someone had already booked it..so we did it for the week before valentine's day because the week after is my little bro's bday and i didn't want to overshadow his bday because of my wedding.

We knew we wanted warm weather and June was ideal because July was my birthday and August is FH's and we didn't want more than one event per month.

7-7-06 is out dating anniversary so as soon as we got engaged, we went up to the church to see if we can have that date, well lucky for us it was open, and we will be dating on out 5 yr anniversary awweeee... it means alot to me.

We tried 10-7, out dating anniversary but it fell on Columbus Day weekend and FH would NEVER get married on a holiday weekend..so we went with the following weekend. We also love the time of year

We chose 05/28th b/c we wanted to do a sunday so that we could get a cheaper rate. Knowing that most people have off on the monday of memorial day we knew we wanted a holiday weekend. That date was available at our hall also.

love oct..althought the weather this year was very rainy,,and it so happened to be a day away from my grandparents anniversary!!!
