Out of curiosity what was everyone's reasoning behind the dates they picked? Everyone asks me that and there were a number of reasons: work obligations dictated time of month, $$ and temperature dictated time of year.
I was just wondering how everyone else decided...

Our date is my FH's grandparents wedding anniversary (they died when FH was young)
and it happened to be a Saturday

We picked our date because it was closest to the day we got engaged. Initally we wanted to pick the day of our first date (Sept 11, 1994), but we didn't want to get married in september, being that is a high month for marriages and was more expensive.

We really wanted to get married on our anniversary, Oct. 17, but that would have meant waiting until 2008, when it's a Friday. And when we started making a guest list we realized we'd have close to 200 people (we now have more invited!). Since we're paying for it ourselves, and Jan. is cheaper, we're getting married in Jan. We chose Jan. 15th because most people have off the next day.

May is a nice month, beginning of spring, we did not want to chance it and book anything between Nov-April. Although with my luck it will be cold and rainy on my wedding day.

1/14 is the day we met . we concider this our anniversary. it is actually a sat in 06 so it was perfect.

We wanted an autumn wedding. We were bouncing between September through November. We agreed a friday would be best. I wanted to do October 13th, six year anniveristy of my grandmothers death. I thought it would a nice way to remember her. My fh then freaked because it was friday the 13th. We fought I caved in and now our wedding is the week before.

We wanted a Saturday wedding but because of it was more expensive, we decided to get married on a Friday which was cheaper. Our anniversay is September 20th and our wedding date is September 15th.

We couldn't have a summer time wedding bc my FH job is really demanding during these months.
If we had a spring wedding we would be waiting too long (from our engagement in March).
September was the warmest month after the summer.

It's the anniversary of the day I met him when I was 13, on our weddeing we will have KNOWn eachother for 12 years
AND it's the anniversary of when we started dating 6 years later
I figured, it's a great day to get married, it is a very significant day for us!!

i wanted april or october and the last weekend was open and less expensive than october so we took it.

Because the date I wanted was already booked at the hall I wanted, so I went with the Saturday before (the Saturday after was later in the summer than I wanted).

we wanted to get married that month -- and wanted it to be as far from another wedding we're going to that summer... and that combined with the dates the venue was booked, gave us our date!

I picked april cause it's much cheaper than september and I can upgrade w/ certain food and it will cost same as september w/out upgrade.

I work in a school and I'm off the whole next week so we're going on our honeymoon then. We're getting married on a Friday and I'm off that Thursday and friday so I don't have to take any time off (even though I WISH I could!) I have a lot of family coming from upstate and Ohio and am too paranoid about snowstorms to risk having our wedding in the winter. We didn't want to wait until the summer!

I didn't want summer and he didn't want winter.
I originally wanted October, but when I called my brother to tell him we were engaged, he said as long as it wasn't close to September, because him and SIL were supposed to be in her BF's wedding then, and they couldn't afford to do both.
So here we were with April (which was better for me, no anniversaries or birthdays that month) and it had to be after tax season for me. So that left the weekends of the 23rd and 30th. The 30th was available, so we took it.
Plus we like the sound of getting married on 4-30 at 4:30!!
