Why do I hardly ever cook you ask

So last night, I was preparing my signature dish (sausage, peppers, onions and potatoes) and I was chopping the onion. All of a sudden....SLIP, I cut into my thumb nail with a HUGE knife that I was using (of course, the sharpest one we have). I was bleeding ALOT and it hurt SOOOOO bad. It is still throbbing. OUCH !!!!!

I think if I had not cut THROUGH my nail, I would have. But it seems like the nail kinda stoped the bleeding. YIKES, I am a clutz (sp) when it comes to using sharp knives. I just took the bandage off and I have a HUGE bruise under my nail, but it has stoped bleeding. Thanks girls !!!!!

Ooh yikes...I dont cook either...cant stand it...I always cut myself on my dog's food can...once I ended up in the hospital 'cause the cut was so deep...

I've done that too! I have a scar on my hand from where I cut myself when I was cleaning out the dog food can (to recycle it)

Last year I was slicing a piece of italian bread & cut my finger open...10 stitches I don't cook either!!!

I'm sorry to hear that and hope you feel better. At least you don't start fires in the oven and burn everything you touch.

At least I know he is not marrying me just for my cooking and cleaning abilities.

If it is really deep I would go, and get it checked out, actually knowing myself I would have been at the emergency room regaurdless
