GAH I am so sick of the 'Why don't you''s from the peanut gallery!

I showed my grandmother my sample invitation colors (blank- im DIYing) and got.....

'why don't you get silver invitations and just do pink and purple accents?'

And then I told her about my cake topper ('B' with pink + purple swarovskis) and got....

'Why don't you get your first initials? It's your cake too'

Of course it's my cake. You think my FH gives one c r a p about whats on top of the cake???? lol

Why do I even show people?

Ugh I hate the discouragement from family! I feel your pain!

I want to bake FH's favorite cookie that I make him-- choc chip cookies with a peanut butter cup squished in the middle---for favors. I told my mom about my idea and she groaned and said, 'That's going to be too much work!'.... She says this about all my DIY ideas... I decided to just stop telling her about them now.

I LOVE this idea!! So what it's a lot of work?! It's worth it if it'll bring that little sentimentality to your wedding that'll make it unique!! IMO I think you should do it!!

That's what I think too! I bake them in mini-muffin tins so they would fit perfect in truffle boxes.. it would look nice AND be inexpensive ANDDDDD be totally 'us'. I could even make them a month ahead and freeze them til a few days before. Our wedding is the Weds. before Thanksgiving so we are lucky in that we will have the weekend prior to do last minute things without it being too far ahead. I thought it was a cute idea... you have me thinking I should do it anyway now lol.

I agree Lindsey, it's hard being a shy girl sometimes-- thinking about meeting so many people at once makes me anxious! lol

And thank you Christina! All this encouragement is giving me the drive I will need to bake 400+ of these cookies!

I guess this just goes to show that, no matter the discouragement or 'why don't you.....'s that we get from family, the 2012ers will support us!!!!
