Why is it that guys know NOTHING about their friends??

One of Dh's best friends invited us to his place for dinner this coming weekend. I am guessing both he and his girlfriend will be cooking.

So I ask Dh- what type of wine does he like or what is his favorite dessert, so we can bring these things? He is like 'I don't know'.
I am like you have known this guy for so many years hwo come you do not know this, but then I remembered how guys don't really pay attention to details.

I guess I will just wing it and pick up some random wine and dessert.

In all honesty I couldn't tell you any of my friends favorite wines (other then red, white, etc) and I only know my sister's & best friends favorite desserts. It's not something that really comes up in our conversations and I really don't pay that close attention when we order dinner out or anything.

I think you are safe with anything you pick up, maybe go with red if they are having meat, white if they are having chicken, etc.

Christine- at least you know whether they prefer red or white wine- Dh does not even know that much. This guy is one of Dh's best friends for over 15 years he was best man in our wedding.

But I only know for two people in my life

FH depends on me for his friends addesses and sometimes even phone numbers!!! And when they move, I'm the one that gets their new info from them because if I depended on him it would never happen.
