Why is Jennifer Lopez acting out Flashdance scenes in her latest video?

I saw the video last night and I was struck by:
a) how the video has nothing to do with the song (but ok, that happens a lot)
and
b) how unimaginative it was - she didn't add anything to the scenes - they were exactly the same as in the movie
She is soooo overrated!

I have to say...she's certainly not the best singer, and she's a pretty bad actor. However, I think she is absolutely beautiful and a terrific dancer/entertainer which is what has gotten her to be who she is today. Oh- and love the curves!

i would love to see J Lo slapped around in a major lawsuit!!!! something about her just rubs me the wrong way - i think she's very phony!!!! either she's way more intelligent than she appears, or she's surrounded herself with some fantastic people!!

I thought she looked bad in the video. I think a lot of the singers today are over-rated.

I never say she is fat or even curvy because in all honestly I am a 'curvy' women J. Ho is very thin and while she may not be Alley McBeal thin, she is still a thin women. Fat girls cannot wear the stuff she wears!
I think she owes the studio for the Flashdance stuff. She copied it almost exactly. That is not cool. And why remake Flashdance? We all know the bra trick already!

I hope no one thinks I'm criticizing her physically - she's a gorgeous woman and I think it's gross that she's been called fat and that her b-hind is too big, etc.
I'm all for curves! We need more non-stick-figure celebs (like Kate Winslet).

I don't understand? What's wrong with remaking the movie into a video? Movies are remade all the time (Psycho, Ocean's 11, The Thomas Crown Affair, etc.)
J. Lo's Flashdance video could potentially bring in money for the makers of the Flashdance movie. Many of J. Lo's fans haven't seen Flashdance before since they're in their teens. That video is introducing them to the movie and therefore the soundtrack. You're assuming her whole fan base is our age. We're not the only target market out there.
And I'm sure you don't have to worry about the producers of Flashdance. I'm confident that both sides will come to an agreeable settlement.

Did someone say JLo look terrible Give me a break. Did you see how fast she was moving and her butt was rock hard. It stayed in place the whole time. Most of us butts would of knocked us out jumping around like that.

I've seen Jennifer Lopez close up in person and all I can say is - if she has a big butt, then everyone I know is grossly obese. Have you ever seen other celebrities in person and been struck by how small they are? She was petite but I guess has more curves than the average female in Hollywood. I can only imagine how competely sticklike someone like Courteney Cox is! So all I am saying is....she doesnt even have a big ass, but with all the PR she gets from it, I think that they acentuate it and try to make it look really big.

I did notice JLo's body in the video, and she really is rock solid. She just doesn't have a small frame...I have a smaller frame than her, but I've said it before and I'll say it again...I affectionately refer to my a$$ and arms as 'underwater a$$ and arms', cause when I walk they jiggle like they are underwater!! People will say that I am on the thin side, but if they saw me with my clothes off that would be a different story. I would NEVER dance like her with the clothes she was wearing...my jiggle might smack and innocent bystander in the face!! I wish I had a body like that!!!!!

I think J.Lo is this generation's Madonna. She's beautiful and ballsy. She's not really 100% talented at anything, but she's 'good enough' at a lot of things. She provokes her audience and the media. Most of all, she is a shameless self-promoter and a good businesswoman (or surrounded by good business advisors) who makes calculated moves. She's got millions and we're all talking about her, so she's definitely doing something right.

I think Jennifer Lopez is like a song that gets too much air time on the radio. At first you like it, but after hearing it 3,584,321 times you get SICK of it!!! There's nothing wrong with her, I'm just tired of seeing her face....

Although I think she is not the most 'moral' person in the world, I DO think she is beautiful and I would kill for her body!!!
