Why Me?!?!?!? Long vent...sorry

OK-- so you all know whats been going on with my grandfather and FHs dad...things have been crazy. I wasn't able to get my Secret Santa gift in the mail in time, and I let Jess know. I tried to send it from the Post Office Yesterday, but part of the gift was a bottle of wine, so I couldn't sent it through the postal service, they told me I had to fed-ex it or send it UPS. I didn't have enough time to get there during lunch, so I had to wait another day. I went to the UPS store today and they told me that it would cost me $43 to get it there before Christmas, but only $10 to get it there on Tuesday. I already spend $23 on the gift, so I figured my Secret Santa wouldn't mind if I explained that I hadn't forgotten about her. So I sent it ground...then they told me that the wine would break unless they repackages it (I had already packaged it pretty damn well, but I didn't want to take any chances seeing as the gift was already going to be late.) SO theres another $8 for them to repackage it. I was kind of annoyed, but whatever, I love you girls and I signed up for this, so I'll do it.

I get back to work and I have a voicemail saying that the address I gave them is wrong...they can't mail the package. I double checked what I wrote and I gave them the address I was given, so I had to spoil the Secret Santa Surprise and tell her I need the correct address, and that she won;t get the gift on time.

Now I feel like a schmuck, I spent alot more $$$ than I had to, AND I'm cranky.

And Shelby34-- I wish you lived on LI...I would've just brought you the gift wearing a Santa Suit.
