I have no clue.. People might be happy but I am going like 2 months or 1 month before.

Re: Why so early?
I want to wait for fun stuff like hair trials closer to the wedding, why rush it now????
I feel like it takes the fun out of everything to finish so early....

Re: Why so early?
hair people were booked for my August 2005 date in June 2004. I did not start doing this until February 2005 and I was not happy. I finally found someone but it took a LOT of energy and they are not a LIW vendor.

Im using my reg hair stylist so I wont do a trial until MUCH closer to the date
I did however get a makeup trial because I wanted to look nice in epics.

Re: Why so early?
Well i will tell you why i got mine and Cindy is right - i wanted to wait untill i got my headpeice but the Jen called me and asked if i wouldnt mind doing it now because they book up so fast if i wanted to go with them they wanted to make sure i had my day out --- so i did it
as fair as things changing thats not a problem - i did change my mind from orig. style and just e-mail a different pic to her she said no problem as long as you know that the person can do what you ask them then i dont see the big deal in doing it early

Re: Why so early?
I recently changed salons, ( I was very unhappy with the woman who used to do my hair) so i am having a hair and makeup trail just to make sure i feel comfortable with the stylist and to see if they can follow my direction. If i am unhappy with the stylist i will have to find somewhere else to go.
I am getting married on monday july 3, and most places are closed on mondays, so i need to find a salon that can open and accomdate all eight members of the party for hair and makeup.

Re: Why so early?
I decided to start looking early b/c I know people get booked up fast, especially the good ones. I went on a few trials, not thinking I was going to book anything for a few months, then found a stylist and m/u artist who I loved. I told them exactly the look I was going for and they did it. I know I'll definitely change my mind on a hairstyle a million times before my wedding, and I know I can have a different style done than the one we did at my trial. Nothing is set in stone at this point, except that these two are doing my hair and m/u for my wedding!

Re: Why so early?
I had a trial in May for a February wedding, more because I wanted to know how the stylist worked, than for a particular style. I wanted to make sure whomever I chose was on the same page as me. I've already changed my mind about 4 times about how I want to wear my hair - but that's natural. A good stylist will be able to change with the times and your mood.

I am getting married in Dec and my salon wont even let me come in until October
She made a good point- hair stylist leave, take vacations etc- she wanted to make sure who ever did the trail was there the day of my wedding

Re: Why so early?
I wanted to book early to make sure I got who I wanted, but I also wanted the time to work with them and get to know them to get the exact look I want for my wedding. I'm very picky about makeup and hair (more-so makeup though), so I needed someone I can feel comfortable with.

Re: Why so early?
i'm doing mine now because of the fact that the person I want for hair is very good and booking up fast. Since my Birthday is today I am going out on Saturday and going out dancing as well so I want to see how it holds up. LOL!

Re: Why so early?
I'm doing it early because I hear that all of the good ones get booked quickly. Don't want to take a chance on one of the top five very important vendors to have. If I don't look my best that day, I won't have a good time.

Re: Why so early?
The same thing happened to me last year. I was wondering why people were booking trials so early. I called Jacqueline Nicole and Oksana in March 04 for an October 05 wedding and they were already booked. I was shocked. Well it worked out for me because I am using Jillian from Gorgeous Faces and couldn't be happier. Also my hair person is not an LIW vendor so I booked her only a few months ago. Her name is Vickey Casey. So definitely call if you want an LIW vendor. They book fast.
