Why your month...

Was wondering some of the reasons that people chose their month/dates for the wedding? Or did you not have much of a choice

We were originally going to do late May/June so we can save up a bit more, but April was the only day where the room we wanted was available, so we just did it! I'm happy I did because I can't imagine waiting an extra 2 months!

We knew we wanted to go directly on our honeymoon and with our professions..the summer is best, especially July!

I'm a summer girl so i knew i wanted warmer weather month. Wanted late may originally so i could get married before I turn 30 but we just pushed it off to the warmer month - June!

FH actually picked 9-2-11...we wanted 9-10-11 but the room was taken at CHCC by a fellow Liw-er! =)

It was when he started the job he is now in love with, so he said it is his lucky day =)

it also works out pretty cool it's 9-2-11...9+2 = 11

we have 11 bm's and gm's each...

needless today, 11 is our new favorite number!

Same here. We liked September too but most of the time September is still pretty hot and I can't imagine how nasty FH would be in a tux in 90 degree weather. I might have changed my mind before i got to the alter.

We first contemplated late September, for family tradition, parents are Sept 4, bro and SIL are sept 16, but didn't want to chance having HOT weather in September... so we choose October (we love FALL) and we're hoping the rain stays away (it's rained on Oct 14, the past two years)...

We chose the day because the week before is Columbus Day weekend and a jewish holiday I believe...

September has always been FH's and my favorite month of the year. We just love the weather, not stifling hot, and not chilly. There's also alot of sunny days in Sept. too.

We originally wanted June 16th since that's our anniversary and the day he proposed but it falls on a thursday next year and we knew we didnt want to wait for 2012

I wanted to do a Sept wedding, but I had some issues with a wedding date of 9/11 (2011) so I decided to do early October and I actually couldn't be happier since I wanted black bm dresses!

We always wanted June. June is our anniversary month (both from the first time we dated in high school, and this go-around). Also, my grandparents got married in June (on the 15th when I'm the 18th) so that was pretty special to us.

FH and I hate the cold. My 1st wedding was in July. FH's 1st wedding was in June. FSIL is getting married in October the same year so August and September were too close. So May it was!

I def wanted a fall wedding (so did FH, haha) and I wanted it to be late October to be sure the leaves were changing! Plus, I HATE hot weather so the summer was out!

My only boo to October was that it's my birthday month as well...but oh well really

We originally wanted September 2010 but my hall was booked for 2010 and we didn't want a winter wedding and the 9th was the ONLY sat night left in April so we took it

My wedding is 2 weeks before my birthday - I don't mind having the celebration continue :)

We wanted September or October but we have 5 other weddings next year during that time. All are close friends and FH is in 2 of them. So we figured why not do this before everyone and since we are summer people anyway, why not go for a summer wedding.

We both love summer! We knew the wedding had to be during summer and was initially going to have it 7/2/2011. FMIL is retiring 6/30/2011 and we knew the date we wanted was too close. We then decided the last day in July was perfect! On 7/31/11 I will be a bride!!
