I got a certified check to pay Burtons for flowers. The teller was an idiot- I even wrote out the name 'Flowers by Burton' and she has it printed 'Flower by Burton' with no s. That wasn't the only idiotic thing she did, but I digress.
Then I realize the real, full name is 'Flowers by Burton & Son.' So who's an idiot now?
Will they be able to cash this check? Or is this just a really stupid question? I never had to get these certified checks before!!!

Considering it's a business, they probably will just deposit the check... which, as I was told when I worked for a bank, it does not really matter who the check is made out to when they deposit, only when they try to actually cash it and walk away with the money can it cause problems.

it wont be a problem. But they take cash too. DH and I paid our final payment in cash.
