Will we regret not having a video?

Will we regret not having a video?

we booked a freelance photographer and never gave any thought in re: to a videographer.

since we are paying almost $3800 for the photographer we really don't want to shell out another couple of thousand $$ for a video.

do you think we will regret our decision? and can anyone recommend a reasonably priced videographer? maybe just for the ceremony and recpetion.

thanks

I was anti-video and then decided to get one anyway. I now recommend them. You get to relive your day on video! Pictures don't capture it all.

Re: Will we regret not having a video?

I have seen Jennbaby's video 2 times and I will honestly say I felt like I relived her day again. I was at her wedding and then to see it again I felt the same excitement watching it as I did on her special day.

Their were moments when I thought I was going to start crying because those are things that you know you will have forever. She danced with her mom at her wedding and Steve from Patken took a wonderful picture of it, but to see it on film, to feel the emotion, to see the close up of a tear, the smile, everything is something you can always look back on when you have your video.

To me video captures the emotions that a photo cant.

Hubby was NOT thrilled about having one either.
But I thought it was worth EVERY DOLLAR

I watch it every onece in awahile, and it is so nice to see your wedding day through the eyes of someone else.
I missed a lot of things, and the video helped me capture the moment.
If you have it in your budget..I HIGLY recommend it

My husband & I couldn't be happier we got video, the emotion we both get from watching it is unexplainable.

Wild Rose Video's work is nothing less than amazing.

definately get a video, its especially great to pass on to future generations, and remember the older ones that wont always be around..

if you dont want a 'proffessional' video, then maybe ask a good friend who can tape it for you..

There is a whole other level of memory that the video provides. You can look at your pictures a couple of years from now and rememebr some of the general things but when you pop in that video it really feels like you are re-living the day.

I never gave it a second thought, but i do know people who didnt do it and regreted it, pictures are wonderful, but they dont capture it live, only a video can, and it is nice if a friend videos, but its still not the same as a professional video. We booked wild rose and I have heard nothing but great things about them. I am so excited to have them video our wedding, its also great because I will give copies to our parents and fh's mom and we can make copies for those who were unable to attend ..its a personal decision..but definately check out some of teh vendors on here, check out Wild rose, they offer several packages!! gOOD LUCK!!!

I'm in the same boat. FH really doesn't want one, so because of that, I'm deciding not to get a professional video. We might be able to get a student or something videotape it, but he is really against it. At first I wanted one, but then when I saw a video at patken, I decided I didn't want one. But everyone's recommending it so much.. but it costs a lot and FH doesn't think he'll ever watch it. It's really up to you and your FH, do what's best for the two of you, and only you guys decide!

I say go for a video. Pictures doesn't capture the sight, sounds, and atmosphere of it all. Looking at our video, I re-live that special day all over again and again.

I say do it!! My pics were not all that so it ws so nice to have something else that captured the moments of our day.
Especially for us we lost two members of our family within a year of our getting married, So I have the memory of them with us.

Re: Will we regret not having a video?

Absolutely get a video. There are so many moments you will miss or forget that happened that day, it would be a shame if you didn't have the video. Believe me, when you're up at the alter, you can't get the fullexperience like you do when you're watching your wedding from the camera's perspective. Try www.weddingreels.com
They are very reasonable and we are really happy with the work.
