Does anyone have some cool ideas in asking your girls to be in your BP? I know about the cards, but I really wanted to do something cool and fun. Any thoughts?
I sent (yesterday actually) a peronal poem to each of my BMs asking them and the above to my MOH. After they reply I will send ' You Said Yes Party' invite. Sort of a Bridesmaid Wine Party (I love Wine) and I am giving each girl a goodies bag with a tank and VS undies as a 'You Said Yes' party favor.
May be a bit cheesey but I think it is cute!

I could do that but I would want to give them something. I don't know. I actually wanted to give them the 'gift' at the E-Party
how about a cookie like a fortuen cookie with a message in it asking or a little favor box for them to unwrap withmessage in it- something like that????

I actually did a puzzle and mailed it to all of them in pieces and it was a picture of the picture under my screenname (not sure what it's called) and then I had the words written--Will you be my bridemaids? & the one for the MOH.
All of the girls thought it was a cute idea!!

I gave everyone a book about how to be a good bridesmaid. But the book was full of useful tips and silly ones too. And then I also wrote a really sappy card for each girl.

I gave two of my girls a smaller version of the bouquet I hoped them to carry and ask them if they would mind carrying something a bit bigger than that on july 10th of 09... for my FSIL I even had the waiter deliver it to our table

I made my girls cards on Shutterfly with pics of us together on the cover. There is also a site that has cookies with a poem on them asking 'Will you be my bridesmaid?'
And I ordered t-shirts for my sisters that say Bridesmaid and Maid of Honor from customizedgirl.com. They came out really cute!

I had a brunch at my house, really inexpensive, I had mini muffins bagels and fruit...I gave them each a will you be my cookie and a card.
We had a great time and they loved the cookies. (www.weddingish.com)

I made them a little basket with a small bottle of wine, a wine glass and some flowers together with a card that made for each of them. and for the ringbear I gave him a teddy bear with a ringpop attach to his hand
That;s what I want to do . . . cookies and maybe put it with a little note or some other cute 'gift'.

I ordered these really cute cards from target. They were white wrapped w. white tull and the first page said 'will you ....' and when you open it said'mybridesmaid' or 'maid of honor'. (in baby pink)
I added some stuff, on the inside of the enevelope I added some pics of the 2 us in HS, college, or vacation. Then I wrote something really sweet and diff. for each one of my bridesmaids. They all loved it and said it was very thoughtful. I mailed it to them and it was a big surprise....even to the ones who already knew would be my bridesmaids. I will see if I get to post some pics.
After they received their invites, I set up a bridesmaid pot luck. We all brought diff. foods and had a great time over 6 bottles of wine. I then gave them each a diff. bracelet. They loved it!

I made something on powerpoint and printed them out in glossy paper and framed them. Here's the poem i used.
The day, the dress The bride, the groom The joy, the tears Will all come so soon
Professing true love To my husband-to-be With family and friends All watching me
I hope the sun will Be shining down, Keep your fingers crossed That I'll fit in my gown…
But there's just one more thing that there needs to be… and that's to have you Standing with me! Will you be my bridesmaid?

I went to Vistaprint and bought notepads with a picture of me and my bridesmaid and asked her on the note pad. Also I saw a cool idea from a girls page that had feather dusters and a note that said will you be my maid. My sister bought a cake fopr a couple that is in her wedding party and wrote on the cake 'will you be in our wedding'. Also I bought the books 10 cool things about being a flower girl and 10 neat things about being a ring bearer for the kids with picture stickers of of. Hope that helped.

I made cute picture frames with poems and pictures... I took the 'will you be my...' poems and printed them on cute weddding paper and the put them into a picture frame.. I then found pics of us from when we were little, younger and now and cut them and put them around the poem in the frame... I then went to Michael's and got the cute scrapbook wedding outfits and decorated the frames on the outside and put some also in the fam w/ poem and pics.... I also ordered them Bridesmaid shirts from customizedgirl.com...
Gonna give them all this in a cute wedding gidt bag at the engagement party... mine is acutally this weekend
