I was just thinking about this because there is a woman at my job getting married and they are having a suprise bridal shower for her. BUT she is a high-up person in the chain of command. In my case, I am low on the totem pole, and my whole dept is made up of men!!!!

Probably not. People at my job dont really care about others and whats going on in their lives. Not one person even extended an egagemtn gift and I am 'upper management'.

If my friend(moh) was still in the dept i would probably say yes. With the way my boss is, you could never tell. It will depend on her mood.

i doubt it, I am an office manager for an oral surgeon, and there is just me and 2 other girls, but the girls will definitely be at my 'regular' shower.

I am the senior most female -- and my staff is about half and half so I don't think so. My boss is a high ranking exec and a guy so I tend to doubt it -- it would be really awkward, you know?

No way! They are all men and sick of me talking wedding talk so I am sure they wont do anything for me. But they are all coming to the wedding so they will probably be very generous.

I just changed companies, at my old office, definitely, now, probably not, I'm a Manager, and the two other women under me, work from out of the office, and the president of the division that I report to is never here, I doubt he even knows I'm engaged. I got engaged the weekend after my second week at the job!!!

I think they will. They had one for my predecessor and they didn't even like her. My boss is a man, but get along great and we have a very tight group on my floor.

They already had one for me and another girl I work with... it was kinda an engagement shower type thing... even though it was REALLY far in advance! It was so nice!

Every year we contribute to a fund for this purpose. Of course, it is finally my turn and no one wants to run the hospitality program. Hopefully someone will still throw my shower. I have been the contributor forever!!! I may be a bridezilla but its my turn!!!!

yes ( if I still have a job then...lol) My job throws parties for EVEYTHING..and I already told the people closest to me what I Dont want...lol..hows that for tacky!
