Will you have a bridal shower at your job?

I was just thinking about this because there is a woman at my job getting married and they are having a suprise bridal shower for her. BUT she is a high-up person in the chain of command. In my case, I am low on the totem pole, and my whole dept is made up of men!!!!

yes ( if I still have a job then...lol) My job throws parties for EVEYTHING..and I already told the people closest to me what I Dont want...lol..hows that for tacky!

I casually mentioned that I registered at Bed Bath and Beyond last weekend!

Oh they were so good about having something for everyone all the time!!!! Oh things I used to eat there!!! Were you ever there when they had the omlette breakfasts during xmas time????

I don't usually go to the individual division's functions since they are all for 'in-division bonding purposes' but I know they had one the 1st year I was here and I thought it was so cool.

I dunno...we had two baby showers this year but they were for folks who've worked here for a long time. The last two weddings we didn't do anything because it was the groom who we worked with. It's a very tight group so who knows!

i doubt it, I am an office manager for an oral surgeon, and there is just me and 2 other girls, but the girls will definitely be at my 'regular' shower.

me, too!! Well, I am not the office manager - but it is just me, two other ladies, and the bosses. But otherwise, I'm in the same situation.

Not really It's very lonely up here! Not really anyone in my peer group and not a lot of people on the floor at all. At one point we had 12 people on the entire floor - talk about ghost town!

My job does it too for anyone getting married or having a baby. It's pretty much expected. I am also on the planning commitee and usually am responsible for putting the party together and collecting money from everyone.

They do it for everyone so I think I might get one too.

Yup - my job does it for all weddings, and baby showers, it is really nice, it makes us all feel like a family

probably not, since i won't have actully started my job (i'm a teacher, who will hopefully have a teaching job).

Some friends from school were hinting about having a Virignia shower of some sort since most of them won't be able to attend the one my MOH is having in NY...
