My personal opinion and please no one take offence; i didnt like the place for a couple of reasons.

1-the CH and their outdoor space for ceremony is separated by a road, and from the ballroom you see the road.

2- the carpet had a stale smell when we were there

3-very little food was offered

But on the plus side the guy who showed us around was supper nice and they fed us.

Yeah the only reason I didn't like them was because I was concerned about traffic from the road during the ceremony. Other than that, they were really nice. They fed us too hehe.

A friend of mine was booked there for a June wedding for a whole year....4 months before the wedding they called her up and told her there was a mistake... the day she had was double booked by mistake....and the other couple had booked before she did. Basically she was **** out of luck...she had to find a new venue and change everything with all her vendors....a complete nightmare!!

I think its much nicer since the renovations a few years ago. The only drawback to me is the road that is between the hall and the ceremony site. It does get a lot of traffic.

I was thinking about looking there and didn't because I heard that the cars passing by were annoying during the ceremony.

I looked there and the dude I met with was incredibly, unbelievably, disgustingly rude. I even called to complain the next day!

1. My FSIL got married there in 2000; they still use her pics in ads and her album in the lobby. It was hilarious for me to see it so I was giggling at my baby-faced DH The BM came out and yelled, What's going on out there?

2. My entire tour took less than 10 minutes.

3. He wouldn't show me the sit-down dinner menu because 'the buffet is exactly what you need.'

4. Proceeded to tell me the ENTIRE time that we needed to invite more guests because we wer too small. We're expecting 150!!!

5. Took a 5 minute personal call at the table during our meeting; when FH called to say he was running late but was on his way, the guy said, 'Don't bother, he's been here before, he knows what its like'.

6. Tried to sell me on the 'complete wedding package' of vendors I'd never heard of and when I said I had my own vendors he said 'Please, if you can do it for less than this, I'd be shocked.'

7. Wouldn't budge on the price because 'You're not enough people so I need to charge you more.'

8. Kept trying to sell me on Beach Club Estate's lovely view instead of WOTL, because we were to small and would get lost in this big space.

9. Apparently this guy thinks this place is sooo amazing (it was very nice) that he didn't even feel the NEED to try and sell me on the place; I was an open book, MAKE ME WANT TO HAVE MY WEDDING HERE. He failed.

I think there's more but I forgot.

The next day I called and spoke to Frank. I was like, 'Windows on the Lake must be soooooooo booming with wedding business that you'd turn away MY measly 150 guests and my MY measly 10k.' I RIPPED him a new one. What was so dissappointing was that FH really loved his sister's wedding there and it would have meant something to him if we got married there.

It's flucking Windows on the Lake, not Oheka Castle buddy

*No offense to any WOTL brides but I had to be honest in MY experience with them!!!
