Wine favor question

For those of you who gave wine as a favor ~ where did you buy the wine from? Did you do full-size bottles and one per couple or did you do mini-size and one per guest? Also, did you have labels made? I assume they are just stickers you place right over the real label? Thanks :)

Wine favor question

Talk to your local liquor store. Mine said they can get whatever we wanted. They can give you prices based on what you want, and they can get you the labels too. Not sure if you do one per couple or guest. What is the proper etiquette regarding favors? One per couple or guest?

Wine favor question

I found a very inexpensive wine at Whole Foods,so I plan on doing a full bottle per person with our own label. I will definitely negotiate with them

Wine favor question

a lot of people talk about '2 buck chuck' from trader joes. We 'tested' them a few weeks ago and the white tastes soooo bad! the red is OK.

Wine favor question

If it's a regular sized bottle, I've seen 1 per couple, if it's a mini, 1 per guest :)

Wine favor question

If you know someone in the restaurant industry, ask them if they can go through their liquor distributor. I ordered liquor for a friend's party, and paid much less than I would have, even from a liquor store. They didn't have to charge me anything extra because they weren't making any money off it.

What we found is the $3 version of this at whole foods and while it wasn't great, by any means, it was passable. So we figured it was an ok favor that people could either drink with a dinner or as a last resor! LOL

Re: Wine favor question

We got $9 wine for $6 (25% discount on a case). We are doing one per couple. Wrapping it in the silver wine bags (store provided), using pink ribbon and a tag that says Thank-You and our names.

We tested about 6 wines and went with the one we liked the best.

Wine favor question

my BFF went to the Pindar store in port jeff and found a bottle she liked, they wrapped it in clear cello bags with ribbon and made a custom sticker (small, went above the label)...if I were doing wine, I'd do the restaurant thing as well, try to get it directly from the supplier.

Wine favor question

I am doing the mini ones. Local liquor store by me is selling me them for $1.50 each and 10% off of total. I am ordering my labels from etsy. It is about $22.00 for 140 personalized ones.
