Those of you who are doing the Pilates routine... Do you find that it's working? I've been thinking about purchasing it as a supplementary to my regular gym routine....
Any feedback?

Re: Winsor Pilates
I take pilates at the gym...it is definitely working! You really notice the 2nd day after you do them cause your stomach shrinks!! I can see much more definition in my abs. It's a great overall body exercise - I highly recommend it. Not sure how the tapes are, but I've read reviews and people love them.

Re: Winsor Pilates
Ive been doing them.
Here is what I wrote about them in an email to someone:
I do the accelerated workout every other day (1 hour) and on the other days I run on the treadmill for 20-30 min (2 miles) and the 20 minute workout. I have started to see the definition come back in my stomach. My ass and thighs are getting more toned too. It doesnt do much for my arms so I am lifting weights. I started my routine about 2 weeks ago so Im still looking for more success. It is SOOO easy to do. After the first couple of times I dont feel the burn anymore. When the people on the DVD are setting up and explaining what we are going to do next Im already doing them. I need to feel a burn otherwise I dont feel like they are working. Derek does them with me and he has 2 herniated discs in his back (fell off a ladder 2 stories up) and he says his back feels MUCH better when he does them. Since my c-sect. I waited 8 months to work those muscles. My stomach was weak and did not feel too good when I started and now I can do almost everything they have on the DVD. It took only about 2 weeks. They also have modifications.

Re: Winsor Pilates
Interesting thread. I just came here looking to see if anyone knows anything about this and it is the top thread.
I was just lent the abs and thigh and butt tapes and am going to see if I can get started on it. I have had it for two weeks but haven't done it steady enough to see any results. I am looking for toning right now.
This week I am going to get motivated and do them both at least three times. If I like it I may buy the whole set.
I have to say, I found the tapes pretty easy and they are short which I like because I think that is the only way to get myself addicted to them (time and ease). The first couple of times I felt a little sore afterward (not abs though). Now I am never sore - I have to let DH look at them to see if they are worth it. He is the workout nut - I know very little about fitness.

Re: Winsor Pilates
I take pilates at a studio and I really love it. I go twice a week. Not only does it work your stomach, but it is an overall workout. I am trying to get myself started with going to the gym too, but I never have time.

Re: Winsor Pilates
Lisa I should get commission from them. Maybe after I loose about 20 more lbs I can stuff myself into a leotard and be in the next WP video
I have the DVD. I love them. After I do them I definitly feel my stomach working. You have to make sure you focus your 'powerhouse' (stomach) with your breathing.
