Im so worried now.. I went on weather.com and made a weather page.. you put in your wedding location and it gives you the exact weather hr by hr for the last three years on your date and keeps you updated as the date is approaching...
I know Oct is not the warmest month.. but I didnt realize how cold it can get.. now im worried.. I thought Oct was good.. its our anniversary month.. and well it just worked for us.. and now Im about to order save the dates Im so scared..

I just checked. Mine the past 3 years was between 71-84 and cloudy. I can deal with cloudy as long as no rain

the end of may is usually nice not cold so dont worry too much. Thats around memorial day weekend and as you know the weather is usually nice for memorial day weekend. I was May 17 and had nice weather. Plus this past year i remember the first days of June being those 100 degree days and may 31st was around that time and look how hot it was this past year

Dont stress about that - you cannot control the weather. No matter what time of the year you book your date, you run the risk of bad weather. T-storms/hail/rain in the summer. Nor'easters in the fall. Rain, cold, ice/snow in the spring/winter. Dont worry about it.

Re: Winter/Fall Brides( I did the worst thing ever )
I personally love the weather in Oct & Nov, especially if you're in a large dress, lol. I think it's so nice, not too hot or too cold. I don't know if you're planning on taking pics outside, but you can't go by past years to dictate what your weather will be like. For all you know it could be sunny the past 3 years, and yet it could rain this year. There's no rhyme or reason. Just try to take the weather in stride no matter what it is. No point in worrying about something you can't control. And it'll be beautiful no matter what the weather is. Besides, rain is supposed to be good luck on your wedding day, no?

This October had absolutely beautiful weekends except maybe 1 so I wouldn't worry. It can get chilly but it also can be beautiful.

honestly i would not put too much thought into that and really worry about it! that thing is not accurate and always correct, i dont believe in it! =] there is no way they can predict what the weather will be like a year or 2 years from today, no way - i just dont seem to really believe that.. but you just never know right!? i wouldnt worry about it though, cause you might have a beautiful day and be suprised! =]

Re: Winter/Fall Brides( I did the worst thing ever )
I just checked for mine and though it hasn't rained the past 3 years, has been pretty sunny and around 80 degrees, I am wondering if 2009 will be the year a hurricane hits!!!

don't freak out- the weather is so unpredictable these days, and with global warming, you never know! i wouldn't trust weather.com- it's not my favorite. check out the farmers almanac online... that is what i used! good luck

Re: Winter/Fall Brides( I did the worst thing ever )
Here's the perfect example why you can't go on weather trends or any other type of trend for picking the 'perfect day'...
It snowed today in New Orleans!! the first time since Dec 25th 2004 and before that, they hadn't seen snow since 1989!!!
Also, I read a story once abt a couple that had a black out on their wedding (nothing to even do with the weather) and they had the band still play and people sat by candle light and they made the best of it.
Just pick the date you want! no matter what happens you will make the best of it!

Re: Winter/Fall Brides( I did the worst thing ever )
My wedding was early November. It was COLD (51 degrees) but no rain and beautiful. You can't tell at all in pics how cold it was :)
In retrospect, I honestly felt that October's weather was perfect. There was beautiful foliage and it was crisp, but not too cold. If this year is any representation, Oct is the perfect month!
But, honestly, it is WAY too early to stress about the weather! About a week before, okay, but a year? Relax....
