wisdom tooth coming in- update

im in so much pain, i didnt sleep last night i stole my sisters baby oralgel and that didnt work. Went to work and was in pain all day. I feel like im 2 again teething. Ive try mouth wash, advil, hot liq, cold liq. but still in pain any suggestions?

well i didnt sleep last night so i called my Dentist and he never called me back so i went to work and my MD that i work for called his DSS and got me in and i went in to see him and i have an infection in my wisdom tooth and now im on abx and pain meds to sleep at night. Also it was a free visit i was so so so happy with my new dss

i just hope this abx helps and this pain goes away soon.

go to dentist...u r teething and it will hurt till its in..that is if has enough room to come in...ur gums r prob super sore from the pushing in i would suggest peroxyl from any cvs etc..it will ease the pain around ur gums..feel better i know wisdom teeth totally suck

i was just at the dentist in May and they said that it wasnt impacted. The tooth that is coming in. It just the gums around it is really swollen and i have pain from that not the tooth. Ill have to buy some of that if this pain doesnt go away.

Vicodin or any kind of pain killer until the pain becomes berable....or have it removed feel better

i would love to have it remove but i just started the job and i dont have ins yet so im SOL. im try to bear with it.

Ugh this happened to me about 6 months ago! This is going to sound so old-school, but I put ice chips in a cup and chewed on them before i went to bed at least so it didnt hurt as badly then.

can you have it pulled? I started to have pain in my wisdom teeth and had them all pulled bc I didn't want to have re-occurring pain, otherwise you can take tylenol to ease the pain and inflammation.

When does the insurance kick in?

And I totally have been having problems with my wisdom teeth lately, too. . .just have to figure out WHEN to have them taken out so that it doesn't conflict with anything going on at work, e-pics, shower in April, or most importantly the WEDDING!!!!!!! in July. . .I think, barring any tooth emergency, that I'm going to wait until after the wedding to get it done.

You might have to have it removed. I had to have all 4 removed! I opted to be put to sleep... and the best part was all the drugs... never been so high in my life! I remember laying there either right before or right after (I can't remember... it's all a blur) and I felt GREAT! Like cut me open right here! ha ha! I know that's a bit strange.. but it was fun! not the pain before or after.. but their drugs were. if I had more wisdom teeth I would have them pulled so I could be put to sleep all over again! ha ha ha! I'm an addict!

not intil march, and then my wedding and i think like june ill get it pulled. i havent have any other problem with my other wisdom teeth coming in just this one. so ive been lucky so far

For me the insurance covered the procedure but not being put to sleep. i think I had to pay for that seperately.. but it was well worth it! see the above post from me!

In all honestly I have a great fear of dentists.. doctors too.. so i was shaking the whole time and crying in the waiting room like a big old baby! But once they gave me the needle.. and it started to kick in.. I started to giggle and it became a whole lot of fun. then I think i passed out.. the dentist says i was out.. but i dont recall the sleeping part... but i guess he is right. so then i woke up and was high for oh about like 3 hours. passed out then the bleeding and pain began. but it's over with quickly and it heals pretty fast. your gum might be sore for a little while.

I think you should get that taken care of asap.. because these types of tooth pains can go away and come back and when they come back it can get worse and worse each time.

i get my dental ins in march so i can do i then, it one more mth. and im going to have to get them removed.

Its not bad when you get them pulled. Just make sure they knock you out!!! I had 3 pulled over the summer and I got knocked out and it was fine. But I had the other one pulled before that without being knocked out and it was horrible!! They stuck me with like 10 needles to numb me and it hurt so bad I was crying!
