Good Luck!! You need to quit...think of how much more you can do in life without smoking...and the money that you'll save.
You don't want to hear the horror stories that my father went through with radiation treatments and a temporary trach....

i used to smoke, but when i was in shape i felt so good that the thought of smoking made me sick!

Thanks Jen! Damn this is hard. But I have locked myself in the house this weekend which has made it a bit easier. I hope tomorrow when I go back out to the world I can stay this strong. No go make a living will!!!

Deb that deep breathing did it for me. When cravings hit I remembered that they would pass and bitter bitter lemonade helped a lot (don't ask why I have no clue, but lemonade always kills my cravings for things)

Jamie, I had very bitter grapefruit juice this morning and my cravings have not been as bad. Maybe there is something to it...I just have to drink bitter drinks for the rest of my life. The deep breathing has helped too, plus my 'cigarette' pretzel sticks.

I also took up crocheting and cross stitch to get me through it. Good luck!!! Does Darren smoke or did he quit too?

He does smoke, but his dad is here for 5 days and he does not smoke at all when his dad is around, so that helps a lot! I don't know if he is going to go back to smoking or not when his dad leaves, but I am hoping I can talk him into quitting for good with me.

GOOD LUCK you can do it. My dad Quite with the patch it really works. He quite over 5 years ago and has no desire to smoke anymore. He said he likes the smell but thats it. AND he is retired and has nothing else to do all day LOL and he was still able to stick to it.

I won't lie! This is hard, but I made it past two days though1 But my sister told me today that she heard day three is the hardest I am just taking it one minute at a time..I have my sunflower seeds, my pretzels, my water, and my twizzlers...they are all helping.
